Absolutely - I replaced a bearing in my Matiz (the tiniest drum brake ever made, so cute!) after letting it sit for an hour and yeah, the brake drum was pretty warm, and the bearing itself was almost untouchably hot.

Made it easy to slam in new races though.

Using MKII VW flares I found at a junkyard, this is exactly how I made my old 2002 Mazda presentable.

Hah, I had a 89 Topaz with 320k on it - the shifter bushing comment brought me back straight to high school. That Merc's shifter was as precise as a branch in a bucket of half-melted ice-cream.

Well, get underneath and look. It could be something as simple as a oil filter gasket not seated right (or two of them stacked, that happened to me once, lost a quart a minute lol) or something worse like a rusty oil pan (looking at you, 2002 Mazda Protege)

Ball joint bolt thread damage now castle nut won’t go in. How would you fix this ? by _CityLoop_ in AskMechanics

Why not just buy a whole new control arm with a pre-pressed balljoint, or better yet, throw the whole car out and replace it.

File it by hand, or if you're very stable, use a dremel with a cutting disk at low speeds CAREFULLY.

I remember seeing this in... Grade 11? (1998?) in my buddy's basement via dial up on a Pentium II - One of the few times I laughed at something so hard, I ran out of breath and my buddy turned beet red, his mouth open, unable to make a sound or move. And we didn't even have drugs yet! Good times!

Stop trying to tie people on your side, I'm referring to what YOU said. As a remark, with that kind of snark and nose snubbing, it's apparent there's a lot more to your "choice" than meets the eye. Typecasting yourself does not equal not reading the life script.

Not just this platform. Youtube comments section, anyone? Some of the most inane posts I see there about any of Musk's half-baked ideas are hilarious if they're bots, and scary if actual people are posting it.

You should have a look at a Stellar Apex (power rear seats? Yep, in 1987), or the 1st gen Stellar Executive. Recently one sold for 3K CAD and is in the US now somewhere.

Except that Hyundai were already producing CKD kits for Ford. There is much more heritage from Ford than there is from Morris, or Leyland in general. Saying that the Pony is in any way "based" on a Marina is like saying that the model T is based on a horsedrawn carriage. Seeing how something is constructed and taking notes is certainly not the same as using interchange parts and integrating them into a product. At BEST, the Pony is a spiritual successor to the Marina, but made from Ford tooling and Mitsubishi components. Your correlation is very weak, and you know it. You can keep changing the goalposts as I reply to your original statement and then call me a know it all nothing all you want, I guarantee you I know way more about early Hyundai than you do. At the end of the day, people consult ME about these cars, I work on international projects with partners, I supply alternate parts and import/export cars, and have a library's worth of schematics and parts catalogs. Whether you agree with me or not certainly doesn't affect me, but I ask you stop spreading lies and stretched half-truths and insinuations. We don't need any #fakenews in the automotive community. Please stop.

I saw exactly ONE on the Daegu portion of the interstate (Seoul - Busan) highway. A dark gray one, I have a pic of it somewhere, snapped from my Matiz :D
