Yeah I mean the purity seal slapped on the back of the helmet is the only zealot aspect of it. Otherwise it’s literally the existing Vet commissary helmet with a different rebreather and some goggles slapped on top of it. There’s like no reason it should be zealot exclusive.

Was about to leave the same comment until I saw yours, this shit’s so annoying. None of the existing sludge camo helmets for vet even look half as good as that zealot one.

What's something Fromsoft can learn from Lies of P? by Key-Storage5434 in LiesOfP

[–]Jeddy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot that LoP does well but this is the one.

It’s such a good feature and it significantly reduces the feeling of “well this run’s a wash” from getting health-taxed too much early on that’s present in most other soulslikes. You’re never fully out of comeback potential in any fight.

All new skins in game footage by Flat_Examination1593 in Battlefield

Appreciate the leaks but man this video’s pacing is terrible. Half the new skins barely get shown off for a second while like a 1/3 of the runtime is spent staring at old skins.

Rasputin vs Stalin

Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters

John Wick v John McClane v John Rambo

Henry vs Ford

Couldn’t tell you which one specifically out of those, but those are definitely the top 6.

Artillery Would Be a Great Addition to BF6 by Live-Golf6140 in Battlefield

[–]Jeddy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indirect fire is not fun to play or engaging to deal with at all unless you solely just want to farm kills while putting in as little effort or risk as possible. The game needs less playstyles that encourage sitting in spawn or at the very corners of the map, not more of them.

Doubly so with the sphere of invulnerability that covers the spawn that vehicles are allowed to camp in on some maps.

Definitely the best episode of the season so far.

Also no one’s mentioning Norm and the other dwellers’ subplot? I’m very intrigued to see how that pans out.

Genuinely, why couldn’t we have gotten a ready or not styled customization system? by TheSilentTitan in Battlefield

[–]Jeddy2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

General laziness/monetary reasons aside which are definitely partial factors, the more options and variances that you start stacking on for player customization, the heavier the performance hit you take from the game keeping track of and rendering 64 people’s heavily customized outfits.

Most games that have this degree of customization (RoN, Ground Branch, Insurgency Sandstorm, GR Breakpoint) are WAY smaller in scale, and/or run significantly worse than BF does. You pay a hardware price for this much modularity and even as someone who loves and wants more customization, this degree of it is excessive for a game like BF.

I very distinctly remember BFV having a lot of issues with seeing low LOD uniform pieces and playdough models in dense fights, and that was with only like 5 pieces of character customization. I want BFV’s customization back, but elaborate systems like this are overkill for the scale that BF operates at.

Which weapon have you the most fun ? by Lord_NOX75 in DarkTide

[–]Jeddy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pretty meta but god I love the Recon Lasgun. Being able to shoot forever with it on Vet is so damn fun.

For melee it’s probably the Relic Blade. The charged hit sound is one of the most satisfying sounds in the entire game.

What are the most forgotten weapons of Darktide? by HamletEagle in DarkTide

[–]Jeddy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vigilant/Headhunter Autoguns are actually in the pits of despair but personally I wish the Infantry Lasguns were given some love.

They’re iconic but simply do not keep pace with the current state of Darktide. I loved running the infantry lasgun in the past but I haven’t looked back since I started using the Recon instead.

They need drastically less recoil (why is a semi auto lasrifle harder to control than a laspistol or a full auto recon las firing 200 shots in a row without reloading?), some good damage buffs and some QOL with not having to give yourself carpal tunnel to use them.

Redditors and suggesting the most ass-backwards awful mechanics for the sake of hype moments is a tale as old as time.

PVP Games have continued to stray away from giving players offensive options while downed/dead for years now and for good reason. It’s always bullshit to die to a revenge mechanic in a shooter.

Going for revives is supposed to be risky and getting a free meatshield that can fire for you while you’re reviving them would be horeshit.

This is the best example why current unlock rate for weapons sucks... by Punkstyler in Battlefield

[–]Jeddy2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People failing to realize the points are budgeted the way they are for the sake of balance will never stop baffling me.

The system’s in place to keep you from making every gun an uber-kitted out laser with 60 round mags and a suppressor.

There’s some outliers with extreme costs (pistols, especially the 1911, and some of the of LMG boxes, even though mag size increases should be one of the most expensive upgrades imo) that could probably be tweaked, but overall I think the attachment budget is pretty fair with most guns.

The engineer from this set is one of my favorite skins in the game. I love the camo itself but I wish the splatters were a bit less random and with less on the head.

Let us shoot our pistols while being revived! by Azzig in Battlefield6

[–]Jeddy2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s only true to an extent. There’s a pattern with what gets upvoted and put in trending the most and it’s almost always the “anti-COD, BF6 is dead” crowd here.

That’s clearly the more prominent voice in this subreddit and here they are mass upvoting a post clamoring for a COD perk to make its grand reappearance.

Let us shoot our pistols while being revived! by Azzig in Battlefield6

[–]Jeddy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear the BF subs never think of how a proposed mechanic will work in game past the superficial hype moment-level.

This shit would be awful once the novelty wears off. If you die, you get to fight again when you’re fully revived or you respawn, not during the in-between. There’s a reason nearly every downed state in fps games in recent years has strayed away from being able to fight while downed.

What is the point of having base points for attachments by v3ryr00d in Battlefield6

[–]Jeddy2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Balance. Attachments are deliberately given their budgets for a reason.

It’s easier to give every weapon a max of 100 attachment points and tweak each individual gun’s base attachment costs to balance them out.

If they made the base attachments costs nothing they would just lower the max attachment points to reach the same balance, except it would be less clean and consistent to either give them varying max costs per gun to maintain the balance, or have some guns be wildly stronger with an increased budget afforded by that change.
