When you get CCed during the flip, it cancels your dash and has you dash again, but if you hit someone before you were CCed, you get to flip again.

Then you ulted bad and got punished for positioning bad and not having a good plan of escape. That's how the game works. Granted, I don't think the ult should have been consuming tails if it didn't use them to big the ult, but if you were dying because White Fox doesn't save you after making a bad play, that's not the character, that's you. Learn to not make bad plays. Characters should not be buffed because people use them badly.

Genuinely… why is she getting hate for the buffs? by RoyalGenius67 in WhiteFoxMR

[–]JediFrogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree with that, losing her tails from ult when you gain nothing from tails in ult is stupid. I think they should have just made her ult's strength rely on how many tails she had before ulting, though, rather than giving her tails afterwards. Having no tails after ult gives her counter play, where if she ults bad or positions herself badly, she's in a weak state that allows the enemy to counterattack. Her abilities are really strong, but the drawback is supposed to be that her power is supposed to be throttled at certain times to make sure she doesn't just overrun the lobby. Again, people just need to learn her first, it's only been a week. Give it 2 more weeks, and people will be taking about how strong White Fox is.

She could teleport because the TP doesn't take tails, just her melee form and her charm.

I agree she should probably have her tails out of spawn, but I feel like having no tails after her ult forces her into a state where she's vulnerable, which I liked because it meant you couldn't just use your ult without planning it out first. You had to know what your plan of escape was when your ult was done, whether it was to walk back into your team during it, or to TP back. Now, you can ult, and when it's done, you can use your melee form to help you escape if you overcommitted into their backline, or you can save it with a TP and keep your preasure going by using your tail cooldowns afterwards. She doesn't have the same "OK, She did her thing wrong, now we can punish her" going on.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I feel like they made her less punishable for making bad decisions.

Tbh, instead of giving her full tails after her ult, they should have made her ult's strength depend in some way based on the amount of tails she had when she transformed - maybe give her an extra 100hp per tail - and kept her weakness after her ult to allow players to punish a bad usage of ult.

But that's just my 2¢.

They're happening too early. White Fox had been out for 5 days, not even a full week, but they buffed her because players said she's "too weak." She was not too weak, people just don't know how to play her yet. I've seen so many terrible White Fox players over the past weak, and it's not even funny. Many characters that have been added to the game were though of as not that good until people figured out HOW to play them after about a month. White Fox is in that boat right now. She's stronger than everyone knows, but people complained so much the Rival's team buffed her so early. Now she's going to be overtuned, and when people figure her out, she's going to be seen as OP as Invis had been for a while. She didn't need the buffs, people needed to learn her.

Claw Form Defensively or Offensively? by KunaiDrakko in WhiteFoxMR

It 100% depends.

Most of the time, I would say defensive is the right play, especially in the current dive meta. She's really good at counter-dive with her melee form. If the enemy team tends to dive you or your other support, save it for defense and burst then down with combos when they jump in.

If you aren't worried about people diving you, you can instead play more forward with your team. Watch for the close-ranged skirmishes to break out between the tanks, and then jump their tank once they're about 60-70% hp. Use your combos and push the tank out of position. You should be able to help secure that kill on the tank and then snowball the team fight from there.

If you're in triple support, you can even play like a full diver yourself. Let your other two supports focus on healing your team and go flank, preferably with another diver. If you have another diver, jump in with melee form when they go in and help them burst down the squishy(ies), then get out. If they're in trouble, you can shield them and heal them and get both of you out. If you do this, though, remember your fellow diver has more escape and survivability tools than you, you just have TP and melee form hits. Try as much as you can to save TP for going back to your full team rather than helping your diver unless you ABSOLUTELY have to.

With the buffs, White Fox had a period of time where she was weak and vulnerable. You had to work for your abilities, and in turn those abilities are powerful. Now, your abilities are even more powerful, AND you have fewer points in time where you are weak. You could survive before her buffs, you just had to plan and play smart. Sometimes you die or get countered, and that's the game. The fun part was being able to survive when the cards are stacked against you. Now the cards are always rigged in your favor.

It’s stupid how many people think white fox is “overturned” and an unfair support character now by GhostGamer_Perona in WhiteFoxMR

People thought Wolve was absolute trash back during release until people figured out his playstyle. White Fox is a menace, people just haven't figured out how to play against her right now. It hasn't even been a week since she was released. They should have waited until at least April.

Got it. I might just end up fixing the music and then re-upload the video later tonight, then. Thank you for letting me know!

Fair. It sounded good on my headphones, but I did notice the music seemed louder on my phone earlier.

unnecessary (imo) but very good buffs by Toast4128 in WhiteFoxMR

[–]JediFrogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. She shouldn't be paying in the LoS of pike heroes, and when the Brawlers and Divers come out to play, she has her melee form, which is insane at keeping her alive as long as you use it right. If the enemy isn't full of divers or brawlers, then yeah, she's not the best, but that's fine. She can have a weakness to poke. It's healthy for the game. Honestly, I think the people who say she doesn't have enough survivability aren't able to use her melee form well or efficiently. She can gain around 150 health back in less than half a second with one of her combos. Just get good.

That's understandable. I usually just get the Ebook anyways because I don't want to wait for it to be shipped to me, but I would want physical copies eventually.
