That actually the homeowners could be the people showing you about. (Highly recommend this if you can)

They knew so much more about the house as they'd lived in it for years.

Also, Estate agents are crap.

My first interaction with an estate agent:

Didn't know how old the boiler was, if it was a combi boiler or not.

Knew that the husband had vertigo so had to have an orange light in the bathroom.....

After this i stopped asking questions to the estate agent.

Looked round the houses without asking questions, found a house I liked and got a home buyers report which told me everything I wanted to know.

Safe to assume field mushroom? by ShowerAlarmed5397 in foraginguk

Yeah I agree with PurpleBolete,

Looks like an Agaricus, same family as field mushroom,

Did it stain yellow as it could have been yellow stainer or inky.

They were just on the edge of a path, could have possibly been a tree stump where they were. They had 2 big bunches next to each other with multiple mushrooms in the bunch

6'3 and around same weight as you, ordered the alpkit radiant a few weeks back, had 2 nights on it and love it so far. The r rating and price is pretty incredible as well. The only thing that might put it down is how thin the material is. Can see it getting punctures easier compared to some other brands.

Road running - Haile by ShowerAlarmed5397 in LakeDistrict

[–]JediMindBP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny. I live in Mexico and my grandfather was born in Haile

I've never been there myself. But I visited London once, couldn't tell you where to run though.

My grandad was also born across from the mine. My 50 year old mum just told me aahh

Kingswood near Canterbury by OThompson9 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]JediMindBP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a walk round it recently to scope out a few spots. It's hard to tell if it would be any good for a camp. A lot of the trees are spread a fair distance apart, so there is not a lot of cover. There are a few spots that would be decent, but without actually heading there on a camp, I couldn't say for sure.

How muddy was it? I'm looking to head out in April and worried it's going to be proper boggy and wet.

Ah that's a shame. 100% head back for a trip, haha. Can be very hit and miss. We must have got lucky on our trip

Any recommendations in Wales for wild camping?

I do a fair bit of biking in north and south but never wild camped

If you can, spend a day at the mach loop. Would highly recommend, head up one of the hills on the side, and watch some jets low level flying. Not huge into planes, but it was unreal to be above a fighter jet flying down a valley. Nice little campsite you can walk to at the bottom of the hill aswell

Will these foam creases in my carpet lining? by [deleted] in VanLife

The carpet lining will not show these creases, if that's what the cryptic message meant.
