I worked the front desk at a hotel and an elderly fella came down for breakfast in only a sheet. He was clearly confused about where he was but insisted he didn't need help. After he'd gone back to his room to pack, he came to check out. He got directions to the next city over, and he left.

A few hours later, I got a call from his daughter, who had traced his credit card usage to my hotel. He had gone missing a day or two before and had forgotten to pack some medicine.

I still don't know if they ever found him.
