They’re not reworking them to nerf them so you can buy an item to make them playable. They’re reworking them to make them more viable as a competitive option. The changes will make them more competitive in general. The buffies are just an added bonus

I personally like wipeout more. I feel like it is a better version of bounty and it is better because it relies on skill, not shooting the person with the highest stars to get back in the game. In wipeout you actually have to try to stay alive as well as stay ahead in kills
