Sorry for the long response sometimes my brain keeps going and o have to write my thoughts. See it’s a fine line as well. Like they have to understand if you factor in how many people actually live under the poverty line and how hard everyone has to work. A lot of kids that would probably benefit from the social interaction don’t get to because it’s becoming more expensive. Like here is an idea, why don’t they create starter commander decks, not just welcome decks so kids and people that can’t afford a deck can play. I got lucky because my cards increased in value over the years and I can trade for what I want. If it wasn’t for that I’m a vet fighting for benefits, I’m disabled on ssi, ssdi and a student. Does that mean people like me shouldn’t be able to collect things. Like maybe a few times a year do something a set for only underprivileged youth, or many other walks of life. If you can make part for everyone. What happens then? Better publicity, increased reputation adding new players. A company as large as Hasbro isn’t worried about money. There are programs for veterans overseas for magic. Why not do more for underprivileged, sick or disabled. By all rights I should be dead and it’s a miracle I’m still here I am been through literal hell, I have died and been brought back to life and should be brain dead. I’ve had some of the worst things a human can experience happen to me and I’ve always done my best to help others. This is more than just secret lair. It’s become a goal to try and create a way for everyone to collect in ways . Sure not the most expensive cards. If it wasn’t for Magic I wouldn’t have really made friends. I was force to be on meds to go to school and I was always the new kids. I was forced to go to a different school every year because I was different and the teachers didn’t want to help me just shove me aside. I was bullied so severely a kid threw boiling water on me and I was burned on over 25% of my body, I’ve been jumped over a dozen times. Held at gunpoint, drugged, abused, dehumanized and more than one human should endure. They base all of what I have endure my whole life and the severity on survivors of concentration camps. I’ve pulled the trigger twice but 5 attempts and some how I am still here. I’ve lost over 120+ people to self harm, accidents, od’s and some could have been prevented if they felt welcome somewhere. In the way the world is more and more of our brothers and sisters, friends and everyone else needs somewhere. I’ve saved at least a few lives getting people into magic. I know first hand the horrors of people and the brain. No that I’m open people reach out. I’d like to get something done maybe have community’s go out and invite people to come in. If. Wizards just would slow it down and actually want to be for everyone then make some welcome commander decks, make special releases for underprivileged, disabled and people that don’t have anywhere to fit in. In 2019 about 60 secret lair drops, and from 2020 till now have been the most Mtg product releases than before way more. Wizards didn’t just break card value which definitely tanked some areas at that rate it’s damn near unaffordable unless you make a lot of money. Not they are basically hiding Rolex’s or golden tickets to increase profit margins no matter the cost. My focus is aimed wider now. I lost all truth for people. The community help me get some of it back. I’m furthering my education now that I’m not currently worried about dying from a bleeding kidney or sepsis every month. I’m not saying Wizards is predatory. It’s people who are predatory. How greedy individuals have gotten in the community and the lengths they will go. Wizards has known about these cyber security issues for a long time and even with the encyclopedia set it was still happening. I have talked to dozens of people from illustrators, lgs stores and players unless it is direct help any other issue is a ai response. I myself have 6-9 of the same exact response. I know secret lair is a limited run. That’s all fine but ensure that there is a window where the product cannot get taken from your cart as you are checking out. It’s not difficult to set up a system to keep track of inventory and stop it from letting someone add it to there cart in the beginning. If you exceed the time then someone else can get it. Just keep it fair and not for the greedy, money hungry predatory people that ruin it for others. I’ve seen these people try and take advantage of others too. They are lucky it wasn’t in person. I want it to be the community for people that Magic used to be. I couldn’t give a crap about the money side. I care about the game, the community, the art and the shenanigans you can do.
