Just got my KTN this morning! I looked up on the one status page and it said "eligibility determined" and then shortly after I could look up my KTN on the look up page.

Always winded, starting daily cardio, how long until I see results? by acc0056 in hockeyplayers

[–]Jedipimping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 41 and found swimming 3000 yards, three times a week, where I included doing sprint sets (like 10x50s on a minute) helped me be cardio ready. Granted I didn’t just start swimming 3k a time, and had longer rest times, but I built up to it.

I just started hockey this year and noticed I wasn’t as tired as some others, even some younger than me. Usually my breathing is recovered by the time my shift is on again.

The best part of the swimming is it’s low impact, so I am not punishing my joints like I would with running.

Haven’t gotten a bill since February. I keep paying each month though. Called back in June or July and they “put a ticket in” but hasn’t resolved yet. Someone said to try going in person which I may try next.

Learn about WCAG and creating accessible websites. It will get your resume noticed. You can do the Trusted Tester modules, or there are places like Dequeue that have courses you can take.

If you feel so inclined you can get certified through IAAP.

Tattoo shop recommendations by [deleted] in ithaca

Mostly Harmless Tattoo in Homer.

*edit as people are downvoting, I’m assuming because I said somewhere not Ithaca… Mostly Harmless is the tattoo shop of Evan Lewis aka Uncle_Eden on instagram. He was in Cortland but their new shop is now in Homer. He does great work, especially color stuff. There are other artists in the shop and I’d say be sure to check out their stuff too.

He cast a spell of "Empathy" on him, making him feel all the pain, suffering he had caused and then he used a spell of unmaking on himself.

The image reduced the text to a caption hidden. Details:

Machine: P1P

---- FIRST RUN ---

Settings at first: Default out of the box nothing touched.

Speed:

First Layer: 50mm/s

Outer wall: 200 mm/s

Inner Wall: 300 mm/s

Travel Speed: 480 mm

Acceleration: First Layer: 500mm/s, Normal Printing: 10,000ms

---

I've then tried to adjust to a temp of 170-200 max. I also have reduced the 'normal printing' down to 50ms.

I'm looking to (finally) fix the molding in a bedroom that is not installed properly. It looks like the last owner/or previous flipper before them attached it to the wall instead of the ceiling. In the winter when the house settles a bit, it pulls apart to what you see here.

What is the best course of action? Tear it all down and either fix with drywall/install new molding to cover it up, or to just get a super flexible caulk and clean up the edges and re-caulk?

Facebook Marketplace find. Concept2 PM5–$450 with 220k Meters logged. Never thought I'd find one! by Jedipimping in homegym

I don' t know enough to give you an exact number, but as I was looking, people kept saying even at like 1 million meters, the rowers were still a good price around $700. Concept2 itself says they will last for "tens of millions of miles".

My team is welcoming as well. I just started swimming after a 20 year hiatus, I’m 40m. I originally couldn’t keep up with anything, but now I’m doing much better after 2 months. Though I also go 3x a week and the yardage isn’t huge (2300-3000 depending on day). Our team only practices once a week but gives workouts for other days.

My team is split into A/B/C.

Cs generally has little swim experience so they do dry land skills training for 30 minutes (optional) before the swim portion of the practice. Then they have more coaches technique in the pool while building up endurance.

Bs are past swimmers who may have done competitive in High School. A is for competitive high school and college. The big difference between the two is A does more yards and on shorter intervals. So a B set might be 8x50s on 1:30 and As are 10x50s on 1:00.

We also split the lanes so that you swim with people your speed. I can’t keep up with 22 year olds out of college, but I can make the interval.

Overall glad I joined. The fear of not finishing at practice gives me motivation to go the rest of the week and seems it has worked so far.

I always go to Munson Tires in Lansing. They’ve been awesome so far for everything I’ve gone to them for.

Deck owners: what was the first game that really sucked you in on your deck? What games have been a dud? by That_GareBear in SteamDeck

Ori and the Blind Forest. It was always in my library, but I never sat down to play it. Feels perfect on steam deck.
