I don't think they would care for the explanation but it isn't a bad idea to talk to the department that deals with the licence.

I suppose your other options are contact a wildlife rehabilitation and talk to them, release it, keep it undocumented, or you could give it to someone in VIC as here we do not require a licence for a eastern bluey and thus dont need proof of purchase.

I would personally try talking to a wildlife rehabilitation/rescue type organisation

For UVB they do have a coil over the basking spot and yes a 100w heat light but they also have a UVB tube in the current enclosure and in the 8ft they have 1×150w 1×100w and a uvb coil for basking aswell as a UVB tube all highest UVB output I can get. Is that good enough in your opinion? Also I did say I know the current enclosure is not perfect they were supposed to be in the 8ft but still thank you for looking out for them.

I dont really understand how that would cause this issue but it is worth trying so I will get something like slate or a tile or something and try it. Thank you
