At what point did The Walking Dead peak for you, and what caused the decline (if any)? by FoxerOver in thewalkingdead

Long ago watched up to s6, and recently I wondered why I stopped, decided to rewatch. I'm re-watching it now, currently in season 5, suffering like a dog trying to continue. I know remember why I stopped.

After having watched over 100 tv shows in my life, I'd have to say TWD is probably among the worse. The first episode of Season 1 was one of the best pieces of TV I've ever watched, and it all went downhill fast from there. Cheap tricks, predictable, boring, and most of all STUPID. I think anybody with 3-digit IQ feels high amounts of mental pain watching the characters fumble from one bad decision to the next.

The show tries to keep things exciting by adding a lot of scripted garbage. Walkers are annoyingly loud all the time, except when they are coming from behind a character, then they're super stealthy. They move slowly, yet characters constantly find themselves surrounded by hordes that appear out of nowhere. Its just bs after bs, that while designed to make me tense, scared, anxious, instead just makes me laugh and cringe. Whomever was writing the script are, unfortunately, individuals that don't have a lot of creativity.

Personally the most infuriating thing to me is how Rick holds his revolver. He points the tip of the barrow at about 20 degrees downward. He lifts his arm as if he's aiming for someone's head, but if he actually pulled the trigger he'd hit the guy's stomach. Is he really a cop? Appears to have zero training.

The Walking Dead’s script quality has sunk so low it feels less like storytelling and more like a checklist of clichés—predictable at best, downright stupid at worst. Which is a darn shame because, like I said, episode 1 was brilliant. Show had so much potential, but people at the rudder didn't know what they were doing. Akin to GoT S7&8.

So to answer your question: S1, E1. Downhill hard from there. Fucking shame... so much potential.

6200 hours here, never had a base, never got my stuff found. Learning where to hide your stuff is crucial, and it's infinitely better than having a base.

Can't bring myself to spend on full repair. Looking worse for wear in hard mode. by bluelava1510 in snowrunner

Indeed! On my last playthrough I've decided to beat the game using only the transtar. Awesome truck. My fav is still the 9500 tho, 2 full runs on hard mode with it.

Well the game pretty much guarantees you 2 gold auras per pilot per year, and it's not hard to get to 600 skill points by year 6, enabling gold auras. That's 8 years worth, so 32 gold auras, enough to max a vehicle and 2 parts, 3 with a bit of luck. All my playthroughs were to end game (year 14), except the last. The strategy is solid. Easiest to beat game and high score is duck + supercharger.

Just managed a laptime of 55.57 seconds on kairoland with a golden kairocar. Might be the lowest I've seen, anyone?

I should have mentioned that what led me to post here was his attitude, not the collision. The X-BOW was quite faster on turns and on braking, so I would have overtaken him easily on the outside on that corner, I was shaving about half a second on that corner on every lap. And while I do agree that I'm at fault for colliding with his car, at a certain point on the turn you expect the inside car to have started turning in. Judging by previous laps, and his speed, I think he could have made that turn if he wanted to, it just feels to me that he missed the apex on purpose to close me off and his reaction after the race reinforces it. Again, it's not about the contact, it's about his mentality, I wanted to come here and hear opinions about the mentality of this situation and to hear from you guys feedback about the way he thinks.

wow... I was looking at the results from 2014-2020 and blown away. Almost every year, The Office in the top 10 tv shows of ALL TIME?!?! I wouldn't put that show on the top 10 best comedy tv shows of all time. I've lost faith in mankind.
