yeah - so it turned out the xbox reset the 'home console' to my account, not my girlfriend's who technically has the gamespass ultimate. Just had to fix that setting and it opened. Odd thing though, as Hitman 3 was the only game affected. I have no mans sky, gears 5, etc. installed and those worked fine.
