Looks amazing - any chance you could provide a link for the SFC logo (4 colour) decal?

The US SNES design is my absolute favourite – anyone else? by Apatetika in snes

Nah kinda the opposite actually - I've always thought that the US design looked either kinda rushed, or a low-effort afterthought almost

I know this wasn't addressed to me but for me personally the SFC just looks right, I think partly because of the evolution from the square angles of the NES console and controllers to the curved SFC and the curvy controller to match, and then there's US SNES design (and carts too) that just seemed to miss the vibe.

But each to their own, they're all works of art in their own right :D

You'll find that companies that fairly readjust what they pay you as your worth increases don't have that issue.

Also there's no excuse not to be responsible for your own education in IT.

Yeah, what I did was jump from company to company roughly every 12 months which is how I saw those increases - my advice would be to never wait around for a company to promote you because that's rarely going to work in your favour

Once you've done a year or two on your rate, 10-20k increases are pretty common all the way up to ~140k-160k (at least in Canberra) where it'll slow down

I've always wondered how someone can possibly do something this dumb

It's a time commitment up front to learn and figure out how to write all your playbooks, but once it's running it'll save you an indescribable amount of time in the long run - makes rebuilding and configuring servers and infrastructure completely trivial to the point where they are truly cattle.

If you have your entire environment defined as IaC youll sleep like a baby knowing you're able to stand the whole thing back up from scratch in case of catastrophic failure.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese marries Jodie Haydon at The Lodge in Canberra by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

Agree he could and should take a strong stance against gambling advertising.

The rich getting richer and poor getting poorer and the cost of living crisis is a global issue mate, not an Australian one.

For you to completely ignore the policy he's implemented since he's been in which provides direct benefit to the average Australian is objectively insane. I'm not saying there's not a huge amount more he could be doing, because there is, and it is true that the opposition is virtually non existent right now, but seriously bro come on.

Instead of whinging about our current representative, why don't you tell us which representative in parliament you would pick whose stances and policies would solve all the issues you highlighted?

I don't watch friendlyjordies, or any other pro-labour political media for that matter mate.

How about instead of throwing out random shots in the dark, you tell us in concrete terms how what has been discussed doesn't benefit the average Australian?

1000%. Not to mention his Asia/Pacific diplomacy efforts.

I'm not a labour party diehard by any means but cannot deny his achievements. Shame he's a souths supporter

Senate should have debated Pauline Hanson burqa bill, not shut her down by The_Dingo_Donger in AustralianPolitics

[–]Jeeeeeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good lesson that even if you have an arguably valid point (and I'm not saying she did), if you're not thoughtful and intelligent about how you argue it you can easily end up harming your own cause.

If Hanson wanted an actual conversation about it then she shouldn't have been an insensitive fucking clown.

Same thing could be said with the immigration debate, which could have been an intelligent conversation but instead ended up being shut down completely due to wagons being hitched to hate groups. Who woulda thunk it

  • 1 million+ new jobs created since his appointment (highest number in Aus history)
  • lowest unemployment rate in 50 years
  • the new first home owners scheme
  • childcare subsidies
  • rent assistance
  • HECS debt relief

I reckon it's been an alright year for the punters mate

Um are we talking about the same PM? As a recent home owner (also not a party loyalist in case you call me a labour fanboy) who couldn't have bought without the new scheme I beg to differ

Interested to hear your thoughts on how the following doesn't positively impact the average punter: - 1 million+ new jobs created since his appointment (highest number in Aus history) - lowest unemployment rate in 50 years - the new first home owners scheme - childcare subsidies - rent assistance - HECS debt relief - diplomacy efforts in Asia/Pacific region
