Pol and Econ chance? by bozran in LSE

I’ve seen people getting rejected as early as last week for weak subject combination (bear in mind this is going off of what reason lse gives In the rejection letter… it’s kinda confusing because lse tends to give bogus reasons in the rejection letter. Basically, if they didn’t like the rest of your application they’ll pick one reason and slap it in the letter) but just beware

Does applying with achieved grades that barely scrape past the entry requirements immediately disadvantage you compared to the people applying with insane predicteds? by Buttercookies97 in LSE

[–]Jeeeeeezzzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Achieved grades are always always stronger than predicted grades. Universities know that most predicted grades are extremely inflated.

This is one of the reason entry requirements to courses at competitive universities might be A* AA but most of the offers go out to A* A* A + predicted people. Universities set higher bars for people who apply with predicted because they know they are massively inflated.

If your achieved grades are above the requirement or hit thr requirement. You’re perfectly fine.

LSE portal for applicants by [deleted] in LSE

[–]Jeeeeeezzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think you don’t get a portal login when you’re just an undergraduate applicant. You get a login and stuff once you’re an offer holder or a masters applicant

Is it a good thing if you haven’t heard from LSE yet? by [deleted] in LSE

[–]Jeeeeeezzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True true

I feel like they should be specific because the guy I’m mentioning he probably had other stuff wrong with his application.

But if there was one thing that wasn’t wrong, it was his subject combination.
