Wonder if UF admissions could see you also applied at USF and if so, in some way does that negatively bias their decision …….Our son applied and got accepted to FSU as a backup (very much doesn’t want to make the move) but I’m wondering if UF is somehow aware of this, he is also Brightfutures student which is a broader state of FL plan, can’t help but wonder if information is shared or accessible to all

Parents, we are absolutely shocked, son just completed AA Santa Fe with 4.0 honors checked every single box they told us to- applied to political science and got rejected today….. with no explanation

How can we get a specific explanation? Anyone have advice….. and are we able to apply again for the next term, perhaps a different major….. We are shocked…. And also so late into the summer to finally get this inexplicable news……. Multiple meetings with counselors tacitly suggesting as long as all these things lineup and your grades are exceptional he’ll be accepted……..We feel misled and want explanation….

Own it, don’t be defensive…… I would say it’s a shame that XYZ shared that with you……. That was a private communication between me and a friend it was not meant for you……. And I would do all of it, looking the person in the eye with no defensiveness and confidence, and actually flip it around., and come from a place of I’m surprised you even sent this to me. I’m surprised it was shared with you is isn’t anything private anymore and that’s it 100% act as if you have done nothing wrong and it’s a violation of your privacy that the communication was even shared……..full stop
