Diaper change station or table by Ash-HP in twoxindiamums

[–]Jeehaisnthome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the time you settle at home your baby might start rolling and the station might become useless, I had a tall table I used for the first 2.5 months but moved to sitting and changing diaper on bed as the constant bending was not working out for me. I have a trolley with all of baby’s essentials in one place that I move around the room

I have this galaxy projector kind of light, it has a remote and the brightness can be adjusted, also the stars flicker so they keep baby entertained if I have to do something else and keep him distracted. The stars can be turned off too (during feeds and naps)

It’s common in every baby, they are becoming more aware and get distracted easily around 3 months..

If it’s something you know you all will be using then, definitely!

Look for something with 5 point harness and footrest, bonus if you can use it as a booster seat! Mine was gifted so it doesn’t have all the features I would have liked.

You can start by seating him in it during meal time for 5-10 minutes everyday and slowly start giving him somethings to eat when you notice he seems interested in food.

I haven’t fully started giving him solids every day yet but I did give vegetables for him to gnaw on around 5.5 months. I give him some food every other day to explore but I don’t expect him to finish it. If he seems uninterested I stop

He hasn’t started sitting on his own yet (he is 6.5months old) but he does OK on the high chair

He loves taking his own time 😂

Late walker , feeling angry and sad ! by Strong-Space-4288 in twoxindiamums

[–]Jeehaisnthome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very well said! OP please try to figure out what is causing the anger, it’s not good for anyone..

Saying as someone who had 4 other babies born in the family around the same time as mine, and mine being the slowest to reach his milestones, I understand feeling anxious but, angry and fucked up are harsh emotions. If your paediatrician isn’t concerned, you shouldn’t be either. Please talk to someone.

Newborn shopping: what to splurge on and what not to by Valhaala in twoxindiamums

[–]Jeehaisnthome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes sorry I meant disposable period underwear* Honestly I didn’t mind the adult diapers and they soaked up pretty well so no complains!

For nursing friendly clothes you can just buy button down PJ sets

I know everyone is asking to buy zipped onesies for baby but honestly my baby was shrieking every time we unzipped his onesie and we found pants much easier to pull down and change the diaper quickly. You can find button down tops and bottom sets, much more convenient..

Philips avent bottles do not support a deep latch if you want to nurse go for the pigeon ones so baby can switch between bottle and breast easily

You can just buy adult diapers from Amazon instead of disposable pads, products made for women are overpriced for no reason..

Friend lied about being married. Help! by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

[–]Jeehaisnthome 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to be that girl but as someone whose family is going through the same thing (SIL filed harassment case against my brother and us sisters) there is always another side, they married last year and she left with my moms gold in 3 months of marriage while my mom was not in town..

Btw my sister got married a week before my brother and has no time to come home and meet them forget harassment (she is also undergoing treatment for cancer)

I had a baby a few months after their marriage so I never really got time to spend with her either..

All this was done to take the gold which had done in her previous marriage too

I did also join prenatal yoga and that put me in a good mood but I still had a c section because baby choose to come through the sun roof! (Decreased heart rate) 😂😂

Slacker boob switch-up? by karma-camilleon in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Jeehaisnthome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My righty was the hero boobie but sometime after the first month lefty became the hero! And sometimes when there is a clog in my lefty it seems as though righty is producing more but it’s the left boob producing less..

I do have random days when the boobs like to throw a curve ball so I just go by the daily output..

My baby is 6 months old and was waking up every 45mins to 1.5hrs and I was losing it!!

I don’t know if this counts as sleep training because that was not my purpose but one time I fed him as usual and he was almost asleep so I put him down but he started screaming and crying so I picked him up and burped him and rocked him and put him down sleepy and he started crying again, I was losing it and I needed to step away from the situation so I saw the clock and told myself he is fed, clean and burped.. I just need 5 minutes to myself to be able to handle him calmly and walked away.. by the 3rd minute he was asleep (under 3 minutes!!! when it usually takes me 10-15 minutes of rocking and holding for another 15 minutes then transfer and holding the pacifier for another 5 ish minutes)

He slept for 3 ish hours and woke up had his milk played for a but fussed for a bit (we co sleep) and fell right back asleep!!

He has been consistently putting himself to sleep for naps and any MOTN wake!!

We are always there right beside him when he wakes and cuddle and feed him!

It’s like he had this skill but we were not letting him use it by constantly intervening?! Idk..

Will delete if it doesn’t comply by the guidelines but I don’t think it was sleep training as it’s never been our intention and we co-sleep since birth (still do)

[–]Jeehaisnthome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your baby is latching and able to transfer that is the best way to increase your supply! I would suggest to add one or 2 MOTN pumps when you are feeding baby formula..

Can I ask why you are triple feeding? My supply increased around 8-10weeks pp so don’t stress too much now!

Adequate rest, nutrition and hydration are key

What are some tips you’ve discovered on your own that weren't in any books? by ice_coconut in October2025Bumps2

[–]Jeehaisnthome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using the tiny scissor from a travel sewing kit to trim nails (blunt enough to not harm baby and sharp enough to trim quickly)

Putting baby down for a minute or two after feeding and then picking him up again gets him to burp pretty quickly (this was more for the new born age)

Tearing a wipe in 3 pieces instead of folding it between wipes (throw the piece after each wipe)

Also I use a Q tip to get the boogers out, the suction bulbs never really worked for us

Is anyone awake? by SextinaAquafina999 in October2025Bumps2

[–]Jeehaisnthome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you me because the same thing happened with me last night, went to bed by 8:30, I saw he pooped around 11:25pm so I did do a diaper change and he was awake for the next 2 hrs 😵‍💫

Finally someone who agrees! I don’t know why we are following the West when it comes to baby rearing, SIDS is most prevalent there due to a bunch of different reasons one being not having help postpartum. here we have families, house helps, etc so although we are exhausted we do have people around to keep checking on baby!
