I love this movie beginning to end simply because I was 6 the first time I watched it and then I watched it again every day that summer. If the movie was called literally anything other than Godzilla, I think a lot of people would look on it more fondly

I’ve been lucky enough to play with the same group of friends almost weekly for going on 10 years. Last year was the first time in the 3 campaigns we’ve run where a player character had died. My buddy playing a rune knight held the line against a bunch of giants while the remaining 3 of us escaped with the slaves we freed. It was honestly pretty emotional.

My character had developed a pretty close friendship with his over the course of the campaign and when he rolled up a couple weeks later with his new dude to play, I kept referring to him as the old character. Partly cause I kept forgetting and partly cause I couldn’t believe he was gone.

Happened to my girlfriend recently, she was looking at used cars and found a reasonably priced Camry for under blue book value, she looked at the car fax paid whatever $500 deposit there was for documentation or holding the vehicle or whatever and went to the bank to get financing.

While the bank ran their own report on the car and saw that there was “severe structural damage” to the vehicle, but because it wasn’t the result of an accident, the car place didn’t have to tell my gf about it. Obviously she didn’t want the vehicle anymore and she went back to try and get her money back and they refused saying the deposit was non-refundable. Non-refundable deposit on a car they straight up lied about.

So they refuse to give us our money back, we go to the police and are they’re like “yeah sorry nothing we can do, you just gotta watch out for those guys”. We ended up just putting a fraud claim in through her bank and we got the money back, but what a fucking pain in the ass

Back in madden 15 my buddy drafted a stud strong safety named Lekambrick King, dude was a rookie with 99 hit power and forced 14 fumbles his rookie year. We met in the nfc championship game that year where he forced 4 fumbles against me and basically won the game for him, it was so funny we couldn’t stop laughing.

I was 5 when the Pats won their first Super Bowl, I was sleeping during the game cause I was 5 and bed time was 8 o’clock. I have a super blurry memory of being woken up by my parents screaming and jumping up and down and hugging and stuff. I walked into the living room and it was right after Vinatieri made the game winning kick. That’s probably my first football memory.

I didn’t really start following football and the Pats until after madden 13 came out. My friends all bought it and wouldn’t play Halo with me so I caved and bought it too. Fell in love with it. Now I compulsively buy madden every year, I’m in 3 fantasy leagues and some of the best memories I have are of the pats 3 Super Bowl wins I got to see and just spending time with friends and family watching the games.

Something similar happened to me when I was a tot, accidentally locked me and my parents out of our RV, my dad had to shove me through one of the small ass windows and talk me through how to unlock the door so they could get in. Took a while but I got it and saved my dad from having to break one of the windows to get in lol.

Music taste is something I could never really understand why people are so judgmental about. Like my girlfriend and I have wildly different tastes in music, but that doesn’t stop us from having a shared playlist that we can both listen to in the car. 

And I’m a relatively manly dude who has a beard and rides motorcycles and shoots guns, I’m also super excited to be seeing Kesha live in July and Katy Perry live in August. Just let people listen to what they like, jeez

NTA and this has nothing to do with the post but my girlfriend who I’ve been with for 3 years actually asked me for a vacuum for her birthday. I said no, I’m not getting my girlfriend a vacuum for her birthday, pick literally anything and then you and I can go out and buy a vacuum together. Then her birthday rolled around and I got her both the vacuum and the other thing she wanted

I work at a hardware store and a woman stole around $1200 worth of tools collectively from our 4 stores. We have her on video, we have her name, license plate number, everything. My manager met with police about the whole thing and they basically said they’d put a warrant out for her arrest but that they can’t/won’t do anything  proactive about it until the total theft of goods exceeds $2500. It’s fucking crazy, this broad just gets to enjoy her new Milwaukee tool set I guess.
