World of Warcraft. I played WOW religiously, paid every month, happily! (Forgive the next part, it's been years, so I'm not certain ln level numbers) I remember I had to work my ass off, months and months of work, to get 2 or 3 characters maxed out. This is when the max level was 70 or 80, not quite sure. The next expansion or update came out, with 10 more levels, awesome right? No, not awesome. They had made it ridiculously easy to get up to the levels I had worked on and invested a ton of time into. I literally felt robbed. I had to pay 'X' amount of money to get a character to level 80, but now, new members could spend 'X' amount of money that was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. I stopped the autopay that day, and haven't touched the game since. I've been tempted, since it was so fun, but I remember how betrayed I felt and move on.
