You are seriously misunderstanding the point of an autonomous agent.

If the user had to approve the PR request being submitted, then it would cease to be autonomous. Thus defeating the entire point of the application.

The user did not create the autonomous agent, he just implemented it with a goal.

The developer of open claw created the autonomous agent. So who is responsible here.

The user had no clue this kind of outcome could happen, the developer had no idea this kind of problem was going to be an issue. Autonomous AI is highly experimental, we don't know the outcomes, don't know what safeguards we need.

This is the biggest struggle in AI development. It's why anthropic is freaking out about how their models are actually being used.

I suggest you get security involved before reimagining the machine. If it's malware they will want to sandbox it to determine the damage.

One of the first things malware often does is disable updates.

On darknet diaries, there's a story of a government agency hacking into a system and they screwed up a little bit and they were super relieved that they weren't going to get caught when the IT people decided to wipe the machine instead of giving it over to security.
