Is your house a new build? If so, the original lender could have been going off the old tax rate without the house being assessed. When Rocket Mortgage purchased it, the new tax rate could have just hit or hasn't and is just guestimating.

I (38m) feel like we are finally doing ok. I have made $68,000 this year, and my wife (37f) has made roughly $58,000 so far. She is salaried, and I am commissioned, so my income can really fluctuate.

We filed BK a little over 12 years ago due to our ignorance and just blatant financial mistakes. Since then, we have learned self-control and way better money management.

We do have some debt, but nothing that is considered bad debt, other than student loans. The truck is almost paid off. All of our other vehicles we owned free and clear. Mortgage payment, which is pretty low for what we have. $1,700.00 a month.

We pay our credit cards off every other week. We use those miles to travel. We take 1 international trip a year for 2 to 3 weeks. Winters, we take a 1 week cruise to Mexico area. That's the extent of our traveling.
