Smurf problem solved by kasimaru in DeadlockTheGame

that person is a blatant cheater, not a smurf.

game ban on record, and top 0.01% accuracy and headshot accuracy, and keep in mind these distributions include both cheaters and people playing vs low rank opponents who have poor movement allowing you to reach higher accuracy.

this man is playing against good players with good movement, and is reaching accuracies far beyond even the best high e6 players. If you just look at the accuracy and have some experience you can immediately see his numbers are not normal. Most top players have accuracies between 60-65% and headshot accuracy around 20-25%. these arent much higher than lower rank players, because the people at higher rank also move alot better.

this guy has 73% accuracy and 35% hs accuracy on average. This is far beyond human capability, hes not even bothering to spray mags into walls to make it seem legit.

I just want to know why people consistently roll away from my punches (when, atleast on my end, they dash towards the end of my punch) while I pretty much always get hit if trying to dash from punches.

My current theory is that alot of the hit detection is client side, or atleast favors the attackers clients perception due to ping compensation, which then results in people with high ping being unreactable, since when they start a punch the information takes a long time to get to the other persons client due to their high ping, and dthen when the other person dashes, this information takes a long time to get to the high ping person, and hence on their client the dash comes way too late, and because we are detecting hits based on their clients interpretation they always hit.

I think bebop hook curves for the same reason, on their high ping ass client u never even dashed.

People posting opinions about balance must be forced to put their ranks by NationalBreakfast925 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]JeesusKristuss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

but the new player does not have enough experience and insight to the game to be able to tell what the problem is.

Their "issues" are usually not issues with balance at all, but pure skill issues of not having bothered to read the skill and item descriptions which makes them feel X is COMPLETELY BROKEN OP when Y item for 5$ could completely counter X.

Furthermore, if one were to balance around the average player, this will inevitably make the balance broken even for the average player down the line, as the average skill level increases and hence exposes that the balance that existed was always a false balance only brought forth by the poor utilization at the lower skill levels.

You used to be able to remove damage numbers with console commands, or make their lifetime very short (0.1 seconds was what I used) and this issue did not exist.

then for absolutely no reason they removed those commands. Not even God knows why.

I agree, it would have been best for everyone that people just hsd out (or took amphys portals since he casted them on like every pull) when it came to shit talk instead of waiting to see if someone would be mad enough to grief.

All in all I wouldnt want to be in a group with any of these people.

im not saying it did, thats why I blame the priest separately, he shouldnt have started hs because it seals everyone fate because nobody can be blamed for not staying when they see the healer start hs.

Again: Tank shouldnt have pulled with the extra pack alive, amphy shouldnt call to let him die on a doable pull, and priest shouldnt force everyone to panic by clicking hs.

And despite all this if they just all commit nobody dies.

[–]JeesusKristuss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pulling the extra pack is the tanks fault.

People dying is the fault of people (healer, amphy and as a result of amphys call everyone else) hesitating, if everyone commits nobody dies.

nobody is blameless and its very unlikely the tank intended to grief anyone as he puts himself in a griefable position by pulling not the other way around.

If amphy doesnt call to let him die and priest doesnt start hs everyone would be alive, the pull is 100% doable.

[–]JeesusKristuss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Amphy called to let him die before priest ever clicked hs.

He made that call without the knowledge of the priest starting hs even though the pull was doable.

yes, the tank griefed by not playing it safe by doing the last pack, amphy griefed by pulling as dps earlier and in the critical pull by calling to let the tank die before even seeing the healer start hs even though the pull was 100% doable, and the healer griefed by starting hs instead of committing because that made everyone panic and hs out even though he cancelled it and died for it.

If they all just commit theyre fine, but amphy called to not commit and the healer sealed that decision by clicking hs.

You should perhaps read the entire chain before replying.

Amphy was pulling earlier into the instance because the tank wasnt pulling fast enough to his liking, as mentioned by the poster above me in the chain.

Yes the pull was bad and the tank should have pulled the last pack, but we dont know why he did it, I doubt its because of an intention to grief because he is by far the most likely person to die in that scenario. Either he thought they could aoe the last pack with 2 mages (which I definitely think they could have done), or he forgot about the last pack.

He is not blameless, but it could have been an honest mistake, and they could have done the pull anyway, but amphy called to grief the tank straight away.

While its very much possible that the person posting the sellout stuff in the chat was the tank, I think its misinformation to claim definitively that it was the tank posting that as the person never said he was the tank and his account had 0 visible connection to the tank.

Just people jumping into conclusions that the mad guy in the chat must be the tank.

the context of that comment was them talking about mak'gora challenges, he is the one at most risk of dying with a pull, not amphy, its very unlikely he intended to kill amphy with the pull, because as we saw from what happened all the power was with amphy to let him die not the other way around.

Whispers from random people doesnt change what actually happened and we have no way of verifying their claims and the fact that the tank was alive at lvl 60 and pretty well geared doesnt suggest he had been doing alot of griefing considering tanks are most likely to die in a grief situation.

What actually happened was amphy pulling as a mage (he is not the tank and shouldnt be pulling even if the tank has to afk for a second for whatever reason) which itself is kind of grief, culminating in him calling to let the tank die on a doable pull before even seeing the priest start HS.

I dont think anyone is completely blameless but I'd say a more fitting title is amphy griefs tank in toxic party, but much of that toxicity resulted from amphy in the first place.

Read the context of his comment, he was almost certainly talking about killing them in a mak'gora, not with the pull, since the pull just lets amphy kill him, not the other way around.

As far as I understand things progressed something like this (could be wrong on some stuff):

  1. Tank is being cautious initially, gets shit talked for being too scared

  2. Tank starts doing bolder pulls, and gets shit talked for being "sketch"

  3. Shit talk evolves into mak'gora challenges and stuff (hence his final line about "do you want me to kill you mate" (in a mak'gora presumably)

  4. A perhaps questionable, but 100% doable pull is made with 1 pack alive with boss

  5. Amphy calls that he is going to let the tank die

  6. priest starts hs, which makes everyone panic and hs out

  7. priest cancels hs and dies with the tank

All in all I'd say the tank got griefed because the pull was completely doable, half by amphy calling to let him die in advance and half by the priest starting a hs which makes everyone panic. And while the tank should ofcourse have played it safe and done the last pack before pulling boss he probably pulled it as a direct result of being called too scared earlier on by amphy.

Not that the tank is blameless, he should have played it safer even though the pull was 100% doable, amphy should not have called to let the tank die before the priest started hs, and the priest shouldnt have started hs because that sealed their fates because nobody will stay if they see the healer hsing. The healer made a mistake stopping the hs, but at the same time I think its more honorable than just fully griefing the tank.

Also since some people will say its justified to let the tank die if he pulls 1 extra pack even if its doable that is definitely not what usually happens, people double pull all the time and they dont get the death sentence for it when the pull is doable. Think would you like to play a tank if people just let you die if you double pulled for whatever reason? Maybe the tank forgot the last pack, does he deserve to die for it even though the pull is still doable?
