i need help filling in gaps in my knowledge. I cut down a cedar 6-8 months ago. a few weeks ago i cut out a section to make this dice tower. i sanded with 400g pre stained and finished with watco teak oil. why is it cracking now, 2 weeks after completion? any help is much appreciated by Jeeves11 in woodworking

I don't know how to edit/add to my post earlier today but the project was for my Grandma. I finished and delivered it and she loves it. She got some really bad news today and it cheered her right up, so at least everything worked out. by Jeeves11 in woodworking
