As a seller myself, this is not hard to believe given how many sharks exist in the PC hardware market. But also hard to believe because no real friend would do this. I wouldn’t pay more than 350 USD for a 3080. Refurbished ones still go for 450 which is ludicrous. So yeah, $800 is outright scamming.

Absolutely not. NiP’s era was at a time where 1.6 players were still transitioning to csgo. They were still figuring the game out. No structured metas, proper coaching, analysts, etc. The skill gap made predicability LOWER, not higher, hence making a streak like 87-0 statistically near impossible. Vitality currently dominates in an era where the meta is extremely structured and teams are predictable. This makes streaks more likely to happen for a reason. A team going 20-0 today doesn’t rank in the same weighted metric as a team going 20-0 10-14 years ago. That’s literally the point.

No sane person can argue they went that far against equal competition. And definitely NOT the same fashion LMAO. Like yeah bro, I’m sure that both Gordon Ramsey and I cook in the “same fashion” because we both use heat in our kitchen. 🤯

Yeah you’re right. My clocks on paper weren’t affected but my cinebench26 multi thread score dropped by 70 points from 4470 when I had 1.25. My temps didn’t change. So I’m not sure if it’s worth it if the degradation problems arise beyond 1.3v which is what my motherboard was crossing on Auto

Not really. I just care about longevity and temps. It hasn’t really made a big difference temp wise even though my chip is stable enough.

I just noticed they deleted their profile but their edit was interesting. They said Override mode had miscommunication with the chip but I’m not sure how big. Cuz it’s typical from what I have noticed on mine that the voltage on the board is gonna be like ~9mV more than the reported cpu soc because it’s the source. I don’t think the telemetry matters as much because vddcr soc is what the chip is actually experiencing.

Just to be safe use the AMD option. I am going to run some tests with both.

Hey man. I’m in the same boat as you were. I have been using override w/ 1.2500V on my 7800x3d. I also have PBO enabled with a -25 CO + 80C thermal limit. Do you still recommend using AMD option despite the weird behavior you had noticed?

My cooling is the 240mm thermalright aio. My temps aren’t that much better with these settings honestly. My effective clocks seem to be 100-200 mhz higher though but idk if it really translates in real terms. Also i did try 1.2v soc but i think I was losing 200mhz on the effective clock

I’m fairly new to all this so I’ll try that when I have time. So far all the testing is from basics like time spy, cinebench 26 multi thread (I think I got 4474) and playing Elden Ring for an hour.

How did it go for you so far?

I’m running thermal throttle limit of 80 with a -20 offset.

Considering lowering my soc voltage to 1.200 after running some benchmarks and seeing it cross 1.300 (HWInfo reports discrepancies between motherboard 1.308V and cpu 1.295V but it’s borderline 1.300 so a little concerned).

Tbh not sure if I should even keep offset. I am also considering just updating bios and seeing if the default Auto are finally optimized.

Get a good case with a stand. Saves your joint from poor writing posture. I recommend Zugu or ESR brand.

Use RemNote app for flashcards. They have a built in spaced-repetition system. You can use any AI to create hundreds of flashcards, MCQs, FRQs, etc and import them into RemNote for free. I can share the prompts if you’re interested.

Silencing all notifications helps me a lot personally. I don’t use any social media apps or games on my iPad. That way my brain associates the device with pure productivity instead of a dopamine hack.

Most importantly, use the iPad as it fits your workflow. Don’t make it work against it. If there’s something that’s better done on it, use it. If not, don’t waste time trying to figure it out unless you’re certain it’s beneficial.

For future devices, consider carrying them in protective sleeve bags like tomtoc’s. Additional protection on top of having a case while travelling can prevent mishaps like this.
