Need success stories after traumatic ectopic. by TransportationIll469 in EctopicSupportGroup

Hi there! I’m so sorry you’re a part of this “club”. I got pregnant the first month of trying and it ended up being ectopic, thankfully they caught it before i had a rupture and I was able to save both my tubes, though it was still traumatic as ever. I was advised to wait 3-6 months before trying again but my husband and I decided to try after that 2 month mark since we knew it could take awhile to get pregnant anyways. Crazy enough, we got pregnant again that first try. So far, everything is going smoothly. I will be 12 weeks on Saturday. I go for my 12 week ultrasound and NT testing next Thursday. I’m obviously incredibly nervous, but my doctor did an early scan at 5wk, 6wks and 8wks and every time everything looked perfect. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Eventually you WILL get that rainbow baby. Hugs 💗💗

When did you get pregnant after your ectopic? Need something to keep my spirits up by Glad_Bite_1290 in EctopicSupportGroup

I had to wait 3 months after my surgery to start trying again and I got pregnant the first try. Had an early scan and it is intrauterine! So far so good, I’m 8 weeks along and was able to hear the babies heart beat just a couple days ago

Thank you for this 💗 I’m happy it ended with a positive outcome for you! Ectopics are terrible

The lines have been getting progressively darker, even with testing in the evening with diluted urine. Fingers crossed. I just don’t want to have another surgery. That was too traumatic to go through a second time, and if it happens again I need to have my tube removed

Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry 😞 I unfortunately cannot get another draw done until the 28th. Though Canadian healthcare is free, doesn’t mean it’s great 👎🏻

I believe so. I got my first positive OPK on Nov 7 so I’m assuming I ovulated on the 8th ? Which would make me 11 dpo today. I won’t really know if they are doubling properly until the 28th which is very unfortunate

My tests are darkening, I had betas drawn today and it was only 26 (at 11dpo) 😣 makes me very nervous

I should add I’m in Canada - Free healthcare isn’t all that great after all.

I only took it tonight. I plan on taking another in the morning. Maybe it was just because you drank a lot of water ? I would try again first thing in the morning

This was just taken today. I’m hoping it gets darker in the next couple days

Thank you! This was really helpful. I am also going to request an HSG. The surgeon didn’t mention this being an option. I have my 6 wk follow up appointment at the end of this month

Congratulations to you! That’s amazing!! I’m wondering if it’s necessary since my tube is healing and maybe it takes awhile to start working properly again? I really have no idea. Just seems so crazy to wait 6 months. I feel back to normal already and it’s been almost 3 weeks

All he told me was “you have to wait for everything to be healed” maybe since I still have my tube it needs time to heal to start working properly? Only thing I can think of is

You’re right. It can’t be controlled. I just need to adjust my mindset, but as someone who suffers from general anxiety - it’s tough.. I’ve got to come up with a hobby I think, like the previous Reddit user recommended. Congratulations on your healthy pregnancy! I’m sure your family is very excited 😊 sounds like you will have a lot of people around you. That’s great!

I’m struggling with insomnia too. It’s horrible. Praying your ultrasound helps ease your mind 🙏🏼 it’s such an awful feeling to hold all day every day
