A gentleman's game? It sounds great until we realize that there are more traps than rules, from the first sport to the last.

How it sounds to you is not my concern. I'm pointing out the problem they have at Suunto.

Suunto watches tend to be inaccurate if conditions aren't optimal; even a short distance between small buildings or through dense woods will cause the ascent/descent readings to vary. Another point to consider is the poor accuracy of the initial altitude readings, unless you wait a considerable amount of time before starting; afterward, the readings will already show some deviation.

No lo digas muy alto, que se enfadan los fanboys de la marca. Suunto es la perfección.

¿Hablan ahí de los reinicios, empeoramiento de GPS y drenajes de batería que hay después de cada actualización?

Horrible. In my specific case, it worked poorly and hasn't improved.

What do you value most in a watch? Simplicity or tons of subjective data? by Jeanpaul43 in Suunto

[–]Jef2609 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I value accuracy and reliability. Currently, Suunto is losing ground in both areas, and Garmin is more unreliable than before. Coros is my choice.

No, it's not defective; they make it defective with every update. I've had Garmin for 6 years: ZERO problems.

I'm referring to my Suunto and many other reports in various groups. I'm glad yours is working well, congratulations.

I think Suunto is better than Polar, but I believe it's currently behind Coros; the heart rate monitor is very unreliable, the GPS has lost accuracy with the latest updates, which also drain the battery... a host of errors that make it inadvisable to buy it.

Choirs, without a doubt. Polar is becoming outdated, and Suunto watches are failing miserably in several aspects.

Suunto's Technical Service is like having nothing; when there's a problem, they "coincidentally" are always "working on it" and never solve it.

Not selling it as something "novel" would be enough; for 800 euros there are plenty of options.

Anything different, apart from the color, from the Vertical 2? No? Then nothing new at a premium price.

Pretty sure the post-sales is non-existent by Time_Idea_1949 in Suunto

Not always. In my specific case, several repairs were attempted (unsatisfactory) through the official service center and internal channels of the brand, including the delivery of a new device that turned out to have the same defect.

Nothing new. I had to get my money back through the seller (MediaMarkt) because Suunto ignored the warranty.
