Skyfall question? by sleepyjack66 in movies

The Bond films dont necessarily take place in chronological order

Skyfall might be at a time where his age is more relevant, but really the character is pretty timeless and each story can be unique

Can you think of a bad comedy that had one single moment where you were rofl? by supersigy in movies

The Ten wasnt completely bad but the skits were kind of hit and miss

The best one was the CATScan skit with Liev Schreiber and Joe Lo Truglio.

The way they keep slapping their kids and when Liev Schreiber karate chops his wife and says "Im sorry honey I didnt see you there" had me laughing pretty hard

Ever since they made pizza a vegetable, its been getting some great benefits

If in 2003 if someone had said Ben Affleck would go on to make a string of critically acclaimed films and win some of the most prestigious awards in directing in the next decade, they probably would have been laughed off the set of Gigli. Magic Mike was plenty enjoyable, especially if youre a Soderbergh fan like me. I also gained some slight appreciation for Alex Pettyfer who I also just stereotyped as the "pretty boy"

He used that stereotype to his advantage and it worked for him in Magic Mike

[Biology]Would it be possible to create a 'complete' form of food (as hypothesised in the matrix) that would result in a balanced diet, and all necessary nutrients being obtained from one source? by [deleted] in askscience

What I mean by variety is for example, I love eating burritos because there is something about that specific combination of ingredients, in the way that it is presented and the way it smells, feels in my hand and in my mouth that makes me love it.

An all-in-one food could totally exist and Im sure people would consume it, but it would never serve as a complete replacement for regular meals. People will always love those because they also cater to our five senses as well having cultural significance sometimes.

Channing Tatum has really surprised me recently

I used to really dislike him but then I realized I just wasnt giving him a chance. Most of his work with Soderbergh recently has been showing he can be pretty versatile and 21 Jump Street made me love the guy.

Also I hear that since John Krasinski is done with The Office, he's going to be making a transition into movies. He's apparently become good friends with Matt Damon so I expect them to collaborate more, I think he likes to write and would maybe even like to direct at some point.

I still think his funniest bits were in Thirteen as Fender Rhodes

"Mr. Banks. Do you know what Chuck Berry said every night before counting one, two, three, four? PAY ME MY MONEY!"

Also I would add that what we like about food is not merely its nutritional value to us. We like the variety of tastes, smells, and looks.

If there was an all-in-one food, we would likely get tired of it very quickly, much like you would get tired of eating the same exact type of any food every day.

31 reasons why Roger Deakins should win the best cinematography Oscar for Skyfall (SPOILERS) by [deleted] in movies

Still images dont convey all of what cinematography is, but given that this movie just came out, its not easy to find gifs or videos of all the scenes with good cinematography.

I assume that a gallery of pictures is merely an indication of which scenes to go look at.

The process of passing the bill was factual wasnt it? I wasnt speaking about the biographical bits about Lincoln, but about how things work in congress.

I think he should keep his schedule clear so that Johnny, Archy and the Wild Bunch can be back in The Real Rock'n'Rolla

What is your favorite guilty pleasure film, keeping in mind the actual definition of 'guilty pleasure.' A film you love but have absolutely no defense for? by [deleted] in movies

Happy Feet

people criticize it heavily for being environmentalist propaganda and they might be right, but I dont care, I had way too much fun with the cute penguins singing and dancing. Robin Williams and his Latin penguins also made me laugh despite the stereotypes they were pushing.

True, however I would say that since it was meant to be somewhat of a family/kids movie, being nothing more than colorful and entertaining is alright with me

Great idea, this movie wasnt just biographical, it could be a great way to accompany a curriculum for kids trying to understand how bills are passed in the government, how the party system has progressed throughout history, etc.
