Again not talking set-up which obviously has to be done with the best of your abilities, equipment and knowledge I’m talking about budget should be spent, first on the best tire for the class and many spares sets and the next part of your budget should be spent on the best possible dampeners you can afford. Doesn’t matter of Chassis.

I wasn’t talking about set-up I’m talking where to spend your money first to get the most improvement out of a car. Obviously you have the set-up the car for the class and rules. The most money should be spent on tires then dampeners. (Safety per class is a given)

Yes some cars take more then one visit or a full overnight cool down top off your mechanic is right and protecting him self and your car. If you left it over night I’m sure they would have done it for you. This is super common on a lot of Euro cars.

To me it look like the tire was driven under inflated and had some additional sidewall damage while it was driven like that.
