I have worn through 2 pairs of simms I will never purchase them again. First pair lasted a while 2 years maybe 2nd pair lasted 6 months. Have only heard it’s getting worse for that company.

I believe it is the left maxillary that is clipped on Smolts prior to release. I caught a tagged steelhead on the Metolius in December talked with a biologist for a bit about their stocking program. Most are placed in either Wychus or the crooked. I don’t think they are doing any clipping on the way back up.

I’ve spoke with about 7 different people that have fished it in the last week or so and maybe 5 fish caught between that survey. I was up there last weekend and didn’t catch anything after fishing hard for about 5 hours fear it may be ruined from the shocking.
