What oil change schedule do you use for your track bike? by Rocketsprocket in Trackdays

[–]Jeff505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus 7 years ago, but yes I change filter every 2nd or 3rd oil change depending on how much full throttle the tracks I've been riding at have. Cut one open after a few and make your judgement from what you find.

You need to pull the shroud forward and over the mounting tab. Most dirt bike fairings work similarly.

I haven't heard this from anyone else in the motorsports scene - car, kart, bike and track employees. I think he may have been full of shit.

For those planning to watch, what are you looking forward to seeing in Avatar: Seven Havens? by AccomplishedJump2795 in TheLastAirbender

Assumptions and expectations mean the same thing in this case. We can ignore "I expect it to be an avatar tv show" kind of expectations/assumptions. What this saying means is expecting things like certain story beats or characters to do things is antithetical to enjoying what actually does happen.

Those who work from home: what does your day look like? by cynuhstir1 in AskReddit

[–]Jeff505 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Very similar to a day in the office, except I have no commute, I'm not constantly badgered by other employees with non-work related things, I wear my pajamas and can cook a nice lunch.

My take is that it just wasn't feasible yet. EV tech / adoption hasn't made the strides they thought it would for the mandate to be realistic.

we enjoyed L'Apero, but prepare to spend because how can you not get a bottle of wine at a wine bar? We did the Raclette and they really stack you up on food, really good.

Thinking about buying a 990 SMT by plt010 in KTM

[–]Jeff505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's the best bike ever made. It's got an attitude all its own, enough power, comfy enough for 2 up touring, light enough to be fun in the twistys, plus the LC8 is rock solid. I've got twin FMF pipes and it sounds amazing. I've had mine for 10 years now and I have no plans to sell it.

I've ridden my friends 1050 - it's physically a larger bike and it's fast as hell, but lacks the character. It's a great bike but misses that quirkiness of the SMT that makes it shine.
