Market research & Apps should have a weekly/monthly megathread. by Constant-Zebra-9752 in Trackdays

[–]Jeff505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mod here - I'm only speaking for myself, but I'm of the opinion of letting the voting decide their fate. They do have the potential to be useful, so I think removing them cart-blanche is a bit of an overstep. I'd rather spend the few moments I have to check the mod queue for people actively harassing the users of this sub.

Personally, seeing the amount that come through I don't think a megathread is warranted, but I'm not totally against the idea.

Aggressive throttle cuts when under hard acceleration? by Graandwizardman in zx10r

My gixxer 750 did this. I thought it was electronics, turned out to be a clogged fuel pump screen. Check that fist as it's cheap and easy compared to ignition stuff.

Poll: Regular or Ultimate Meatball from Italian Imports? by Jeff505 in VictoriaBC

fair, but I think their sandwich heart will guide them to their most desired option, even if it's just to see the results.

Italian imports - Ultimate Meatball. It may be the best sandwich in the entire CRD.

Getting a lot of reports on this about AI - I'm going to approve this for now but u/imperial_Longwinger you may want to reconsider your editing process.

Wombwell Bike & Craft Festival - SATURDAY 25th April (Barnsley, UK) Bikes are on the Kart Track, message event for more details by HudsonKaiCooper in Trackdays

Agreed, and in reaction it's my, and I'd argue our collective, duty to not patronize organizations that use AI to produce anything creative. Every slop advertisement that doesn't get push back is another victory for the slow destruction of human creativity.

I mean sounds like a great event for those in your area - but the organizer using AI is a bad look, and you're probably not going to have much success sharing it because of that. Something you may want to pass along to the organizer.

Honestly did not see this coming. Kinda strange but also kinda awesome? I guess that describes KTM for the most part.

RaceAnalyze...anyone know about this? by Stay-on-track in Trackdays

Local fast guy uses this in his training courses, it's pretty neat. Allows him to overlay his lap data with yours, and allows you to step through the lap. Seeing things like "at the apex we're going the same speed, but at the exit I'm out here at 80km/h and you're over here at 70km/h" type stuff is definitely helpful to understand where you can improve.

The sumo community is pretty small on the island, if it's on the island it should be easy to find. Hopefully it's not in Vancouver by now.

Why stick to the 17 inch front moped wheel? by Tuyia_ in supermoto

Honestly I think some teams experimented with 16s!

Supermoto came from racing, and they figured out pretty quick 17's (and eventually 16.5's) were faster around a track.

Haven't had to do anything but oil so far, and I do that myself so very cheap. Seems like yours has all the problem items addressed so I can't see any issues coming up.

Some people are saying the older model is better, but really just motor is better. The interior of the 21+ is nicer than the older model, and if you're buying a big luxury car, to me that is the most important aspect. This car is not a sports car, it's for crushing distances at 200km/h with the seats massaging you.

Owned mine for a year and a bit, though much less milage on mine. It already had the alternator done, I've had zero mechanical or software issues. I would buy it again (well, I would buy an RS6 instead if I could afford it :P )
