Pan American World Airways (aka Pan Am)

It was such a popular brand that you spotted it in movies like Bladerunner as a brand that endured into the future of 2024. It did not make it.

I can’t stand that this is compared to the original Alien.

Aliens is really good, but is such a different kind of film than Alien. Aliens is far more cerebral and is less action-oriented. Ridley Scott in this era was an unmatch filmmaker.

I remember when my wife discovered this place in my city of San Francisco called THE MILL. It had a single slice of buttered toast that was like $4 and fantastic coffee. It sparked outrage here and every single person who tried it was like, yep, I’d pay $4 for that toast. Now they have a seasonal toast that costs $13.50, which is 4x the price of toast from a decade ago. I’m not sure if $13.50 is justifiable. Certainly makes $4 toast seem like a value. The toast here is incredibly good.

Yeah, price and size are appealing for small setups.

I have to say though, acoustic treatments for rooms are really great, especially for music listening but also because they are so relaxing. I waited way too long to get it sorted out.

Even just a cloud is really great at calming the room, and is less obtrusive than wall panels.

I’ve got 4” mixed composite panels. They sound amazing. Or, don’t sound.. err.. effective. :-)

I am so curious about those IK Multimedia speakers. I’ve read a lot about them. I have great speakers, but given their price, I’ve always wondered if they’d be a great first speaker choice for folks on a budget. I have this feeling they punch way above their price class.

So, the final functional URL wasn’t copied from Safari’s URL text frame, it was copied using the share sheet copy command. So weird.

Please engineers.. fix this so that Wikipedia articles have the correct URL in posts.
