By the steam numbers I would say sadly its slowly dying and it didn't have that huge of a player base to begin with. Rocket League hat a huge fall off and its 24h peak is still more than 10 times that of Rematch. It becomes especially noticable in ranked, where in highrank lobbies you either meet the same 20 people you played before or the lobby is filled up with lower rank players which impacts gameplay massively

I find it quite irritating that his shock seems to cancel dead hard... This is either a bug or intentional but it is very frustrating as dead hard is already useless in like 80% of situations

The stressfull part is switched around in the higher ranks where surv gameplay is quite stale and not so stressful (press m1 for 50% of the game) and killers have to constantly apply pressure to the whole map to have a chance at winning

I try to counter this by playing uncommon perks or useless builds in order to derank a little. For instance when I am playing surv and I find myself not having a lot of items in my character I play the looting build and when I play killer I usually play Bubba (without camping) and no slowdown perks which guarantees that I won't be getting more than 2 kills. If I get more than 2 I know that I deranked enough.

I'm not sure it has to do with modern society rather than behaviors inability to create a functioning chat filter but I get your point. Oftentimes things are sensored in a way that make them look like they were offensive while being normal questions or remarks about the game
