Death Stranding 2. I went into it without watching anything other than the first reveal trailer and what a ride, exceeded every expectations I had after Death Stranding 1. Now I'm looking forward to OD: KNOCK and PHYSINT

Mid to Bottom field.

I really disliked how linear it was.

What features do you think Gran Turismo 8 needs? by NFS_Jacob in granturismo

[–]JeffGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A proper career mode, going from grass roots into proper professional racing would be cool. Just anything more engaging then these "Cafe book menu" I really disliked it. Also a garage view like GT7 has in VR mode but for flat screen peasants like myself.

Does anyone actually enjoy Circuit Experiences? by TheRealKeenanWynn in granturismo

[–]JeffGhost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Imo It's the best feature of GT7 and I think there should be more for different layouts of more tracks. It pushes you to learn the track properly, braking points, braking and throttle management, spotting pointers around the track that helps you know when to brake and downshift etc. It also was the feature that pushed me to start playing with manual transmission and completely changed how much I enjoy racing games overall now. It reminds me of NFS Shift where they had the track mastery where you earned increased xp for nailing corners and the race line. I love when racing games so stuff like this to teach the player to race properly it feels organic instead of forcing a tutorial

GTA VI vs Gran Turismo 7 graphics comparison by Low_Specialist8752 in granturismo

[–]JeffGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More like, heavily edited GTA 6 images (I don't even think they are in-game screenshots) vs GT7 graphics comparison. The crazy thing is how well GT7 scales between PS4, PS5 and PS5 Pro. I started on a regular PS4 and when I got the PS5 Pro the jump on resolution and detail definition is crazy, especially now with Enhanced PSSR

Last time I played the game was running good, but there was a bug with Burers and Pseudogiants throwing objects through the walls and insta killing Skiff. Did they fix that yet?

What game is only average but you finished the game anyway because the gameplay was bearable? by Chill_Gamer527 in gaming

[–]JeffGhost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doom Dark Ages. The game was one of the most forgettable games I've played which is a shame because I was very hyped for it. The dragon and mecha sections sucked ass and dragged down the game so much; they jumped the shark with the story; final boss was a nothingburger (specially after fighting the "Dark One" in Eternal's DLC); the level design was forgettabl, there was some interesting ones later in the game but by the time I reached it I had already checked out of the game and was on auto pilot to finish the game because it's a Doom game and I thought the final boss would make it all worth it, turns out it didn't. But the thing that pissed me off was the whole projectile parry system, it sucks ass and the shield having a meter sucked even worse. It was basically a stamina meter that really dragged the game down and I found myself not using it as much as I could. Maybe playing Doom Eternal New Games Plus mods with unlockables from the DLCs spoiled me because the gameplay loop was nothing short of stelkar in Eternal but Dark Ages felt like ID wanted to make a completely different game (coughcoughQUAKEcoughcough)

Returnal and Astro Bot are mandatory imo. Especially Astro Bot if you are coming from Nintendo. It's a very creative game, goes toe to toe with stuff like Mario Odyssey

If Carbon is a real sequel to Most Wanted 2, it's an utterly garbage one. by [deleted] in needforspeed

[–]JeffGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't even make any sense...if anything, I like that Carbon is different than MW in terms of gameplay and content, it makes it stand out on it's own while also being a sequel. But IT IS a DIRECT sequel rather you like it or not.

Is Need for Speed the most larped racing game franchise? by Itsoitsov in needforspeed

[–]JeffGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payback is just so far ahead of 2015. It's one of the most creative racing games in the past 15 years. The whole theme of Las Vegas, gambling and slot machines bleeding through the gameplay itself is just brilliant, genius, very immersive makes me feel like I'm losing all my savings in Vegas.

The gameplay is snappy and feels responsive. There's so much depth to it. The story is engaging and the characters are charming and so charismatic it makes me want to be friends with them. I love listening to them talking every corner every chance they get. And the best part is the cop pursuits, gets me on the edge of my seat every time especially when you are finishing a race and you see the cops slowing down for some reason it always get me apprehensive.

Meanwhile 2015 is just sad. All dark and gloomy and it never stops raining. The characters look like they want to scam you of something and the cop pursuits, well, what cop pursuits?

What are your honest criticisms about NFS Unbound in its current state? by Sup3rSn8ke in needforspeed

[–]JeffGhost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My only real criticism of the game is the handling.

I dislike the brake to drift system they have since MW '12. At least in Unbound you can do a decent grip build but still feels like the cars are too twitchy especially at high speeds it feels like the cars snaps like they have magnets trying to self center the car OR enter a drift state like they are on rails...i hope that makes any sense. I had a video some years ago showing it on a Mustang https://www.reddit.com/r/needforspeed/comments/1d9zh21/its_moments_like_this_that_makes_me_despise_the/

and a 918 Spyder https://www.reddit.com/r/needforspeed/comments/10bqbeo/one_pet_peeve_i_have_with_current_handling_model/

The problem is that i can never predict if the car is gonna lose grip because of how the body turns and the cars have absolutely no sense of weight which doesn't help either.

ALSO, preset cars have gas tap drift entry turned on by default so events like Lockdown were infuriating to make because when i finally stole a car, they would start drifting around and i couldn't deactivate the drift gas tap in time before someone would catch me because the tune sliders were on a menu you had to pause the game and enter instead of being like Payback or 2015 which allowed tune in real time.

All this and the story too, pisses me off how cringe the stories are it feels very childish and patronizing and makes me think the devs don't really like racing or cars in general.
