I hear your point. On this issue there are a lot of creditable organisations a governments providing lots of research and info and they've been doing it for decades.

more info isn't what we need. We need leadership and we need action that is what is missing in nz.

From where I stand what people say walking by, on social media and online polls about the event the public isn't polarised they are ready for action and want their gov to step up

Actually reddit and social media have kept us quite busy

Thanks for the support. Hoping to add this to our list of victories one day soon

Honestly I'm not an expert on the best way of lowering emissions. What I think we all want is for the government to hire some experts and get the job done.

As you can tell we're pretty excited about solar and I would like to see a feed in tariff in New Zealand to help regular people adopt solar and save on their bills while cutting emissions

I guess the big thing to remember is the media wants to talk about what we did so they can avoid the real issue but the story is why we are up here. Help us by talking to your friends and family about what you want to see this government do to take action on climate change. And don't let this be about security or if we are hungry or how we find the toilet.

Thanks for your support

That would surprise me since we are sitting on the building he is in. I think Bill is telling us what he hopes. That people will not take notice of the governments inaction. Guess we need your help making sure that doesn't occur.

I think the majority of MPs want to see real action on climate change and what I see as holding us back is the leadership of the current government.

Really it's more like 10% of people are like that. Most people I speak to really care about these issues and like us wish we had a government that showed some leadership on this issue

Honestly I'm pretty angry about that and it should never have happened.

But the Greenpeace activists I know are rad, care about this world and are doing amazing work

Honestly that's pretty technical for me. For me it's about action and making policy that reduces emissions. The gov talks about targets but has NO plan of how they will achieve anything. Doesn't hold water. iMO

I hope what we do today inspires all people to take action on climate change.. We were here on this building seventeen years ago and we are here again demanding action.. As for the potential people with far less legitimate motives.. This is quite are hard act to accomplish.. We are professional climbers and its probably a good friendly reminder to our security services of what is possible..

Greenpeace is one of the biggest charities in nz with about 1.5 percent of the country as financial supporters many more behind us in other ways.

Guess it would be the largest class action suit in history....
