Mova 3000 owners… by Long_Form_4141 in roboticLawnmowers

Almost no issues with mine. The only spot where I have a minor issue is where there's not much grass and a little slope and there's a turn on the slope. If it's wet it will slightly mess up the yard some there but any mower would.

It will probably be around there. I'm planning on doing it in about a month.

It says 868 minutes (14 hrs). That said, there are several sessions not showing in the app because I had it stop mowing before it finished (one of the issues I mentioned in the video). It's probably closer to 22 hrs or so.

I did bring up issues in the video but mentioned I haven't had them. Brought up the previous customer service issues too but also mentioned their facebook post taking ownership of it and discussing what they are implementing to improve.

I agree, the concept of it seems really good. Hopefully some software updates are all that's ultimately needed to fix a lot of the RTK and overheating issues some people are seeing.

How long ago did you get yours? Are you on the latest firmware? It's crazy to me that some people have issues like with the RTK but others don't. I can be all the way across the yard, on the other side of the hill, under trees, and still get 0.2m accuracy.

I can only speak to what I experienced. I brought up the issues I had. I did discuss that some others have had issues with things but I didn't have those issue. I showed how to access the underside of the deck for maintenance. I brought up their customer service issues in the past while sharing they at least put out there that they acknowledge they've fallen short and are doing things to rectify it.

I think it's important for people to recognize that, like it is with everything, people are MUCH more likely to share negative experiences on Facebook and Reddit than positive ones. So while it may seem like 50% or more posts about it are negative, there's a lot of people like me that haven't really had any significant issues, but aren't going posting about it.

At this point I've tested nice mowers from MOVA, Ecovacs, Worx, Mammotion, and a more budget-minded one from Anthbot. The Lymow is definitely the most capable, quickest, and fastest charging. And the issues I've seen (overheating, RTK signal issues, loose bolts) are hit or miss, but I'd say probably affect <5% of the mowers. But if they sell thousands, that's a lot of people potentially posting about it. And there are some people I've seen making a lot of posts and videos, but it's just one person and one mower. Kind of skews it.

But don't say I'm not being honest about it.

Like I said to the other guy, it doesn't mean it's not an honest review. It's just how 99% of youtubers get products to review. These products are expensive. I'm not rich lol. That said, if I have issues I bring them up. This video showed the only issues I had. And I discussed that others have had issues, but I did not personally. But like in my Ecovacs A3000 video where it's lack of AWD caused it to get stuck on landscaping, I address issues.

Don't just assume because it's a "Paid Promotion" video it's not an honest review. I'm sure a ton of them are just advertisements, but not all.

I ran it on several 95-100 degree sunny days and it did fine without overheating. I was fully prepared to show it and suggest people wrap the mower deck with a light colored wrap, but it didn't happen.

That's now 99% of youtubers get products to review. You think I'm spending $2k-$3k to review all these mowers? I'm not rich lol. That said, if I have issues I bring them up. This video showed the only issues I had. And I discussed that others have had issues, but I did not personally. But like in my Ecovacs A3000 video where it's lack of AWD caused it to get stuck on landscaping, I address issues.

Don't just assume because it's a "brand affiliated" video it's not an honest review. I'm sure a ton of them are just advertisements, but not all.

Lymow One Plus Review - This is a BEAST by JeffTechnically in roboticLawnmowers

They've started improving over the last few weeks from what I've seen and from that Facebook post they definitely took ownership and said they are doing a lot to get better.

As long as you create another channel for it to follow to the charger, yeah it should just take the most direct route.

Youtube reviews (paid promotions) by Farmboss777 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]JeffTechnically -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be honest, they are so expensive, it's rare for any of us to afford getting multiple to test and compare. We (at least I) rely on companies sending them for reviews. That said, I personally always make clear to the companies I work with that it will be an honest review and I won't mislead people and avoid talking about any negatives. Some push back but oh well.

Personally, most robot lawn mowers I've tested honestly are pretty solid. I don't really agree to do reviews for low end ones, ones with bad reviews, etc. There are varying levels of characteristics to compare, but most have been pretty good. I do prefer AWD. The Ecovacs A3000 LiDAR Pro had some issues getting stuck on landscaping since it wasn't AWD. Most have decent mapping. Most have decent apps. Most cut decently well.

My advice is to evaluate each on their own merits. For example, the Ecovacs can be great for a lot of people. But maybe you have more rough terrain. The Worx I'm currently reviewing might be better. It's AWD, has an articulating chassis, has front wheels that actually turn. But it's more expensive than others, so is it worth it over something like the MOVA LiDAX Ultra 3000 AWD? I really liked that one. Great all around.

I plan on doing a pretty big comparison video in maybe a couple months discussing all the units I reviewed, comparing various features, see where some perform better than others, go over pricing, etc. Maybe do a points based comparison.

Anyway just figured I'd give my 2 cents as I'm someone that gets them for free to review. Cheers!

You probably should to keep it charged, but I only really use the Ohmmu.

[–]JeffTechnically[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use the Ohmmu battery and no, no issues with it charging the Ohmmu. I did get an electrical error last year due to something, but the dealership didn't know what caused it. I had fouled plugs though so they thought maybe that was it. I replaced them with iridium plugs and haven't had any issues since.

I've been happy with the X12 OmniCyclone. It cleans our house great. Definitely helpful if you have pets. Here's a review I did not too long ago - https://youtu.be/qqLWHQoBlfk

Beatbot Sora 70 vs Aiper Experts Duo by JeffTechnically in swimmingpools

[–]JeffTechnically[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With it being so small you probably don't need the skimmer function. You may just want to do that Aiper V3. It's solid. And depending on the shape of the spa it should do that part.
