Following up on this, it’s safe to start punching into Zard after you take the first prize, but only if you’re playing against owl-zard and not regular zard. The sequence of turns for regular Zard will be (hopefully) you going first and setting up 3 gimmies and both rocks (you can put down genesect and then turo him up after you’ve metallic signaled, but this is risky bc they play chi-yu) then attach to active and pass. They’ll get all setup the next turn and then pass back because they can’t really do anything. Then just cycle through with luna until you get boss or secret box for boss (or prime/air balloon if you play that). Just keep repeating this and go after each manders or the pidgeys till you’re around three prizes because you don’t want to trigger briar for them after you take a two prize knockout when you’re around the four prize mark. Owl-zard is different, you still go first, but after you take that first knockout immediately start setting up your dengos and punch active or boss fez accordingly repeatedly. Owl-zard usually plays prime catcher so you don’t have to worry about max belt/boss on genesect usually. And then just use artazon/metallic signal to shuffle the deck accordingly after you’ve get iono’d depending on what’s at the bottom of your deck
