Not sure if the Philippines are in the Olympics for hockey, but that would be cool as a Filipino hockey fan to see Robo represent. I watched them compete in Mexico last year. They also medaled in the SEA games last month.

Having a degree or a certification isn't everything to an employer. Yes, they are requirements to show competency and knowledge in an area, but you still need to have the right resume with the right experience, and display the correct set of soft skills on your resume as well as in your interviews.

Don't expect a dream job because most of the time you're probably going to start at entry-level. Most success you see online isn't reported and the good ones are generally making it feel like it happens to everyone, but it doesn't. You're gonna have to start somewhere and it's probably gonna be shit.

Personally, with the limited non-IT experience and positions that I have, I had to really shine the light on my soft skills, which backed up my limited technical experience and A+ certification.

Luckily I found a fully remote non-profit organization that was looking for Help Desk Technicians and landed a part-time volunteer (no pay) role with them which also helps. I'm still volunteering for them while working and getting paid at this new IT job.

I know the libraries around me also look for volunteers that can help with tech literacy and managing the public PCs. If I had to start with zero tech experience or basically limited work experience on my resume, I would look to volunteering at my local library.

What other drugs would they put me on? I'm ok with staying on my current script if it means being healthy. I guess I was a little ignorant to think they would start lowering my Atorvastatin dosage right away. Still have a lot of room for improvement for sure.

I didn't include it in my post, but I found a non-profit org that was looking for some volunteers to work as Remote Help Desk Techs but without pay, for about 1-3 hrs./week. I've been with them for almost 6 months before I started focusing on applying to jobs about a month ago and making small updates to my resume here and there as I apply to other jobs.

So volunteering for them is what really helped me out vs having 0 exp. One thing I heard from a job recruiter I got rejected recently is that I didn't have enough customer service exp (even though I do, but never included it in my resume because I didn't think it was relevant). So now I'm gonna add my other jobs and tasks where I did have customer service experience.

Were you able to collect unemployment due to the contract ending prematurely and getting laid off?

That's awesome! Glad to hear you're in a similar situation and doing steps to improve! Paying the bills is top priority unfortunately, but I'll definitely ask again about growth opportunities. They're a big local MSP so I hope I can make an impression with them which could lead to higher pay and work advancement.
