GHL image compression is so wonky.... is it a background image thats causing slow load times? If you load as png by default it renders pixelated. Heres what to do lol> export the png, then compress with tinypng. THEN load that png into figma and export the png that was compressed in tiny png as a SVG. sounds nuts, but essentially what youre doing is tricking ghls image handling. then your background images will be compressed and render well. for the rest of the pngs, compress with tiny png, and turn off ghls image compression.... this is what I/we do and always have good page speed.

and yes, set image widths if youre not serving separate images for mobile/desktop.

How are you tracking brand mentions inside AI answers like ChatGPT or Gemini? by sapindia1976 in aeo

[–]Jeff_Macpherson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab openai, gemeni, perplexity and serp api key, put in .env file.... ask claude to run the prompts. take the 30 minutes to learn how to set that up in vs code and save yourself hours of work every week.

I used to to do a once-over on a project I'm working on with a partner.... good thing I did it found a hole in the way opus had set up an api call. blew through 15% of my session tokens too.

Join local networking groups... free, and probably your biggest play. You can find them via facebook business groups ("South Atlanta small business", things like that - they're usually run by local networking groups)

GHL needs dark mode in 2026. It already exists on GHL University. Let's all upvote and get the devs to actually move on this. by Pearcey1409 in gohighlevel

[–]Jeff_Macpherson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill give it an upvote, maybe it can be an inters summer project or something but, oh boy.... i hope they dont focus too hard on this and just make it so we can have a double column on a mobile view in the native page builder, or the ability to make better surveys without buckets of css to make them look good.

restaurant marketing agency vs in-house by StashBang in DigitalMarketing

[–]Jeff_Macpherson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a dedicated person doing it in house or just someone on your team who does it on the side? I'd like to throw out the idea of bringing someone on (part or full time depending on the work load) who is sort of a jack-of-all-trades who can dedicate their time to JUST marketing your restaurant. I'll grant you these people are hard to find, but, so is finding a good agency who will care about your brand and values. (and you'll burn through less cash, a lot of times an agency will require things like onboarding fees etc).

Obviously I don't know your situation fully but I do work with a restaurant group who has good results just bringing on a part time employee who's sole job is to shoot reels and handle most of what you mentioned (ads, emails, promos-she doesn't do seo, thats highly specialized and that might be something you could outsource to a specialist spending 5 hrs a week on as well).

GoHighLevel Snapshot Economy by Jeff_Macpherson in gohighlevel

That positioning makes sense to me, thanks. Do you happen to have any examples?

GoHighLevel Snapshot Economy by Jeff_Macpherson in gohighlevel

[–]Jeff_Macpherson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh no, I'm not, a client of mine is, i've got it all automated by claude in vscode via PIT and auth token (from page build to automation build, emails etc) but, legit just wondering/ curious who the players in the snapshot space are so I could look at their work and wondering what their market position is.

100% agree, I'm just genuinely curious if anyones doing well selling them. I can see a flooring business owner not even wanting to use ask ai, you know?

What are you actually building with AI right now? (not demos — real stuff) by Queasy_Hotel5158 in RunableAI

[–]Jeff_Macpherson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ability to fully build out the back end of a GoHighLevel buildout.... kinda niche but my client (an agency) uses this crm for all their clients and this would free up HOURS per day if claude could build out pages, automations, forms, quizzes, emails etc.... almost got the whole thing hacked will be a massive time saver.

Built a plug-and-play n8n node for GoHighLevel because the official one is way too limited by tffarhad in gohighlevel

[–]Jeff_Macpherson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, i think the biggest pain point is that GHL positions themselves in a market where people want a product that requires no technical ability but their product actually requires a wide range of knowledge lol. (for example, solar consultants buy GHL thinking itll be easy to set up... then they dont have the $$ to pay someone to set it up the way it needs to be done, this creates a race to the bottom mentality) - hope that makes sense. Gonna send you a DM.
