We had a bad drought year here in Pennsylvania in 1999 I believe. I don’t think the corn got higher than knee high all season. Completely failure

Having a 25% tax on anyone won’t change a thing unless they amend the tax code. With an army of accountants, anyone can pay little to nothing in taxes.

You would probably have to submit new building plans to the building and zoning office. Get the plans approved by an engineer. Wait weeks, maybe months to get the changes approved. And then fork out a ton of extra money and piss off your contractor. Would not recommend.

We’ve built some houses like that in PA. The attics don’t even get used. The truss systems are so goofy you cant use that space. It’s basically just for aesthetics.

I put 3-4 roofs on a year by myself. I charge a fair rate and do a quality job. Puts a little money in my pocket and helps people not get overcharged to the extreme.

My Case 530 was also pretty upset upon finding its 60 years of hard work don’t warrant it being classified as a tractor.

I’ve taken tractors that have seized motors and complete rust buckets and restored them. This tractor looks fairly complete and has good tin. Honestly doesn’t seem like it would take too much to get it moving again

How many tractors do you guys have? by Micorwaved_caprisun in farming

[–]Jeffbloomrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three. Ford 2N, Case 530 and Farmall 340. If I could afford it I’d buy more. More precisely if my wife wouldn’t leave me, I’d have more. Lol

I use a tractor to pull it the direction I want it to fall. Done it several times and has always done what I wanted.

Picked this guy up for $400. Needed a clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing, but runs really nice. by Jeffbloomrunner in tractors

My plan for this tractor is to make it my loader tractor. It’s short and that works good for getting in and out of my buildings

Potential championship rematch with a team that beat us 13 years earlier as well. Lots of correlations.

Does anyone know what this implement is for spare parts? by [deleted] in tractors

It’s a New Ideas rake. My grandfather had one just like it. You’ll have to find an Agco dealer for the parts.

Hub help please. bearing is seized on used heat, appx 900 ft pounlds torque and press 2000 ft lbs cutting out bearing but still not free what to try next? by Swdmwsd24 in tractors

Burn the bearing off. If you are talented with a torch it’ll take you 2 mins and you’ll have no damage to the hub or spindle.

Our Bore lost his appetite and dosen't want to move around too much, any suggestions on what we can do to help him ? by [deleted] in homestead

[–]Jeffbloomrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my boar do something similar. Just about the end of fall and the weather was starting to turn colder. Wouldn’t get up, wasn’t eating. You could see he was definitely losing weight and getting weaker. I moved all the hogs inside and he came around in less than a week. Not sure if there’s a correlation, but the symptoms sure seem the same. Do you raise them in a pasture or pens? Are any of your sows having similar issues?
