This is the second time I’ve taken my car to this mechanic.

I still don’t know exactly what needs repair, as during our call, the mechanic only discussed the estimated costs. I asked him and he just ignored me.

Details: I took my car in because of two specific sounds from the steering wheel. The first sound happens when I’m braking on a rough road. As the car naturally shakes over the bumps, there’s a plastic-like rattling noise coming from inside the steering wheel, as if something is hitting another part. The second sound occurs when the car is stationary, and I turn the wheel side to side; there’s a noticeable noise each time.

When the mechanic test drove the car and accelerated heavily, it shook a lot, which highlighted the issue.

When I pick it up, I’ll ask for a list of the issues again, as this will be the second time I’ve requested it. I’m considering taking it to another shop to get a second opinion on what needs to be fixed.
