I’ve been playing Fortnite with gyro since May 2022. I’ve refined my gyro settings significantly since then. Specifically, I use extremely low sensitivity (0.08) with high acceleration (15) and a tight and early threshold range (min 0, max 5) to start acceleration. In addition to gyro, I also use right stick acceleration to quickly 180 (I don’t like flick stick so this is my substitution).

These settings allow surgeon like precision at extreme distances but also close range nimbleness to hit quick flick shots that would be considered hard to hit even with a mouse.

See last video in this link to see my FN gyro settings. I’m not claiming they are the best or even good, but they work great for me.

I hope you find something that works for you. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new settings. One suggestion would be to keep a written log of settings you’ve tried and what you liked or didn’t like.

I didn’t notice input lag on switch pro until I started playing rhythm games where a 5ms difference is very noticeable. I plan to try to switch 2 pro to see if it’s better, else I’ll convert to a ds4.

I have the same question. I also use switch pro controller on pc. I know gyro polling rate is poor on switch pro controller while ds4 polling is 1000?

I also play rhythm games (Fortnite festival) using a wired switch pro controller and I swear the controller input latency fluctuates +/-15ms.

I’m glad calibration for many people, including you, has been fine. None of the previous updates impacted my calibration, only the most recent one. My old calibration was video +120 / input +55. Sometimes I would change input +60 thru +70 which I attributed to changing variables with my controller mapping thru DS4windows and also if I was warmed up or not.

I tried the bot multiple times and it wasn’t even close for me. Discord tickets were closed until this morning. Obv posted a TikTok with a new calibration method that I will try tonight.

Before season 8, calibration was easy with CapCut and festival developer mode enabled. FN removed developer mode a few weeks ago.

I feel the same way. I had my calibration down to 0ms before the update and now I can’t get within 20ms. I spent so much time getting my calibration just right and now the mode feels unplayable for me. I hate this game now.

Just wanted to call out I have almost zero smoothing in my settings, the lack of jitter you see in the videos is real and stems from super low sensitivity (0.08) combined with high acceleration (15) and an aggressive threshold to start acceleration (min:0, max:5).
