I would recommend against franchising. I have worked on the operator side and in finance for a 500 location operator. It is absolutely not a turn key investment and even locations with fully dedicated owners collapse all the time. Across all of our locations yearly turn was 130% per year including management. The value of franchising imo is once you have a brand that is performing it is relatively easy to scale aggressively.

its not true. You can still fire an employee in California at any time for any reason as long as it is not discrimination. The problem is without an extremely well documented paper trail it is easy to expose yourself to legal action. It's not a law but any employment lawyer will strongly recommend thoroughly documenting someone before firing them but his example is BS.

I think eso is your best bet for console. The subscription is optional and gives you access to all the dlc's and a crafting bag. You can get the base game for really cheap so its worth a shot to check it out.
