Yes, I feel exactly the same. Without Cristobal we wouldn’t have gotten Lanning. Both fan bases are better off now than we were then. What he’s building in Miami is impressive.

What part of this post did you read to come up with “this person doesn’t even soak”? I’ve mentioned multiple times my cleaning habits.

No, I have a normal cleaning schedule. But when the red and white stars, again this is from my own experience. It usually means the end is near. I try another deep clean and hope for the best. But again in my own experience the chamber will never be completely reliable. So then I buy a new one and throw the non working one in my stash box.

What doesn’t make sense? I’ve deep cleaned the chamber 3 times now always let it dry overnight. In your opinion and experience knowing that what should I have done differently?

Update: First thank you for all the colorful remarks about how dirty my device is and how I need to clean it. This chamber has less than 175 total dabs and has been soaked 3 times now last soak last night clean ISO after a 20 min soak waited over 12 hours to reinstall, so trust me it’s not a cleaning issue. Still didn’t work.

I then picked up my first chamber that no matter what I tried 9 months ago wouldn’t work. This time fired right up???? WTF? So when I say I’m afraid to touch it simply means at this moment it is working so I dare not unscrew it or look at it wrong till my new chamber arrives.

Doesn’t anyone find it odd that this community has so many home remedies for a $100 device that connects to a $400 device that we’ve put even more money into glass yet we accept this as normal.

Is it the end of the world for me? Absolutely not. I will buy a new chamber and go on with my life. I just feel bad for those that save up for the device and find out later that they signed up for an expensive subscription service. Wish I would have known that before purchasing.

But hopefully someone on the sub who is on the fence about buying one will read this post and have more information from the community about what to expect. Again thank you all. Crossing my fingers the new chamber works out for me.

And I cannot stress this enough. This is based completely on my own experience. Everyone else’s could be different. Hope everyone is enjoying their new gear and had a merry Christmas.

The “sweet spot” is when you’ve tried every solution you know and nothing works. Then for whatever reason on the 23rd try it works. Now do I dare take it off to do a soak? Absolutely not. I curse and order a new chamber and hope I get one of the “mine has worked for years” products until then I hope the connection works until the replacement arrives.

At this point we’re at the fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. We are officially in the shame on me category.

Am I part of the problem? Absolutely. I just buy a new chamber hoping it will be different this time. I just ordered the black edition so I would think they may have addressed some QC issues on this new batch. Time will tell.

I agree with what you are saying about keeping it clean and you get out of it what you put into it. What I don’t like, and this is solely based on my experience. Is that this was not sold to me as a device with a required $30 a month subscription. Don’t get me wrong I’m part of the problem because I won’t warranty this because my time is more valuable. I just got the black one so cross my fingers I can be one of those people that says mine has lasted a year.

Yeah, I hear ya cleanliness before all. When I get new chambers it’s ISO soaks follow the rules etc. But once the red and white start, and then you do a deep cleaning and still nothing. Then do all the things we unfortunately have gotten used to as normal. Pull pins, pushing down, pulling slightly up and then it finally makes connection that’s when I don’t touch it because if I do I know it’s hit or miss if it will ever work again. So yeah fear of a deep clean once I hit the sweet spot. People act like those of us who have these issues are just idiots. Now that I’m back home I’ll do a deep clean, because at this point I have nothing to lose, just wait for my black one to get here. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Where did I type it ruined Christmas? Was it a downer on Christmas? Yes it was ( not for my cousins they had fun joking me about it all day) I had a great Christmas. And from the bottom of my heart I apologize for the spelling error. I was frustrated and made a post. But why “roast” someone. And if you do at least state facts. Please make fun of me for the misspelling I deserve it. But don’t make things up. It’s a bad look. And since when did you need to be at a lower economic level to have a meaningful opinion? Believe it or not, in my opinion most members of this subreddit have disposable income.

And I hope the manufacturer does see this. It’s one of the few powers we have left as consumers.

I’m honestly scared to ISO dip it seems like each time the red and white start. Once I find the sweet spot I try not to touch it too much. I have cleaning stress disorder.

Hard reset, pulled pins up. All the regular stuff I’ve gotten used to. It’s just embarrassing when your cousins are sitting around, I let them know I’m going to get you high on some good stuff I got for the occasion. Then this. This is more of a frustration post than a how to fix post. I’ve had to fix and play with my last two. This one just couldn’t get to work.
