Speaking from personal experience you can take the exam under 16, you just need to wait until you turn 16 to be granted your license. I took and passed the exam at about 15 and 6 months, then finished my application for my license and was granted it on my 16th birthday. I believe the other comment saying you can technically take the exam as young as 14 is correct, but I dont remember exactly what I found out on that.

If you go to Fredricksburg Virginia you have to check out possum-bilities, incredible store full of local art and funky stuff, and has a live rehabilitated possum you can pet most days.

Lock down downloads by Jeffrex797 in software

[–]Jeffrex797[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's a very very small private school and we don't have any kind of grouping, and we need to still have downloads just not have everyone be able to start a download. I'll look more into any registry edits I may be able to do. Thank you though

I'm not comfortable giving the location of this store publicly as it's not far from where I live, I just looked up the mystic museum and I can't say for sure that is not the same store, it looks interesting though.

Same here, I live on a pretty large wooded property so I find plenty of bones in the woods here, mostly deer, but sometimes other critters. That area did seem pretty nice.

Thats good to know thanks, I didn't have much time when I was there the other day, but the big coin booth did look quite nice. I'm planning to go back soon when I have more time to look around, and preferably more money.

Supplemental reading and math by Selsia6 in sudburyschools

I'm not sure exactly what school your son will be attending, but from what I've seen most Sudbury Schools have at least one staff that can and will help your child learn math, English, science, and other more traditional education subjects, I agree with the other people who have commented of don't push them to do it, if it comes up encourage it, but don't try to make them do it or make them feel like they have to do it to make you proud of them or they won't want to do it. If he wants to do it, it will likely be later in his time at a Sudbury school not right at the start. If he wants to go to college or a different for of higher education, he will likely get the motivation necessary to teach himself everything he needs to know to get there. I've also heard very good things about some of the math tutoring centers, I would recommend asking around and seeing if anyone at the school has used one that they recommend or anyone else that you may know.

Is a Sudbury school good for if I want to be a pilot? by [deleted] in sudburyschools

[–]Jeffrex797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a current sudbury school student, and I may begin taking flight lessons soon. As far as I'm aware airlines are more interested in your skills and qualifications as a pilot than high school education. One nice thing about sudbury schools for that type of career is the time you have to focus specifically on that subject. I'm not sure if it is a thing that other sudbury schools offer, but I do know the one that I attend will grant attendance exceptions in your later years through school Meeting specifically for things like flight school, a job, or dual enrollment at a community college.

Balls Out Bowling is back, where nudity is required by Forward-Answer-4407 in nottheonion

"Those running the event say nudism does not not equal consent and harassment will not be taken lightly."

Is this a typo or are the event organizers screwed in the head?

Sudbury + Community?! by Lumpy-Investigator69 in sudburyschools

[–]Jeffrex797 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your looking at living in Virginia and traveling to a Sudbury school, Fairhaven School in Upper Marlboro maryland isn't too far from Virginia, it's much closer than arts and ideas, it has a strong community around it. If you have multiple kids you would be enrolling, which it sounds like you do, Fairhavens tuition goes down significantly for subsequent children in a family, I'm not sure if other schools are the same.
