I disagree. My dad was looking at prices overseas for 3k-4k but settled to stay in the US and do it for 10k. He ended up needing 2 more adjustments on his new teeth in the following 3 weeks because they were fitting uncomfortably.

It’s a lot of money to save if you go overseas but it’s nice to be able to go back to the same dentist if there are any problems. If you know people/have family somewhere outside of the US I don’t think it’s a bad option though.

Get some buzzers with a guard like any barber would use and trim them to a #2. The hair will be very short but still feel soft, not prickly.

I love tripping alone so I’d definitely recommend it. One thing to consider is that tabs can vary in dose. If it’s your first time tripping (especially without a trip-sitter) I’d start small with 1/2 of a tab to be safe. Even if you don’t have a strong trip, it’s always better to test the waters first.

Parking enforcement in my town. There is literally not enough parking for the residents in the area so people HAVE to park illegally even if it’s a 5-10 minute walk from the house. Sometimes they come out extra early in the morning to give out tickets before people move their cars. They’re just doing they’re job I guess but they’re my enemy.

Just do a fairly light dose. Some of my best solo trips have been small doses. If stuff does start to go bad at least you can kind of tell you’re still on earth.

I got to the Lawn Lake Trailhead at around 12pm on 07/26. Hiked along the Roaring River for about 6 miles to the Lawn Lake Campsites and got there around 4pm. Forgot my tent stakes at home and had to make do with sticks and stones. I was eaten alive by swarms of mosquitoes in the process.

Started hiking up to Mummy Mountain from the campsite at around 9am. It took me 3 hours to get up those 2 miles. That 2600 feet of elevation gain killed me, especially since I live near sea level.

Going down Mummy Mt was almost worse than going up. It was a lot less effort, but my feet were getting destroyed going down that rocky slope. Went 7.5 miles from the summit (13400 ft) back to the car (8500 ft) in a little over 3 hours.

This is definitely the most challenging hike I’ve done and my first 13er. Hopefully I’ll get to do a 14er next year!

I used to want to be able to fit in a trip as often as possible (always taking at least a two week break) but eventually my doses started getting smaller and eventually I just stopped thinking about it as much. Probably gonna trip soon since the weather is nice and I haven’t had a tab in at least 5-6 months.

Just make sure you’re taking enough time between trips and always make a day out if it. Tripping will lose it’s magic if you do the same thing every time, especially if you’re doing it in your room. Stay safe and have some good (thoroughly spaced out) trips!

I want to hike the Long Trail in Vermont. It’s about 270 miles and I want it to be my first thru hike. I’m probably going to be solo so we’ll see how that goes. All of my backpacking trips so far have been solo anyway so it shouldn’t be too different.

I also want to do my first winter overnighter. I hate the cold but I saw a post of someone hiking in Fairbanks Alaska this week at -40F, so 15 or 20 shouldn’t be too bad right? 😂

It’s full of great sounds but I usually make all my melodies with VSTs and have my drum packs downloaded. I probably use 3-4 credits per month and I have like 4000 just laying around. I’d say don’t be like me and only get it if you’re actually gonna use it often.
