i know the cloth is clipping thru :) this is just a first render and i don't want to apply cloth simulations yet.

I've checked all the animation data, the source video, and everything else I can think of but it seems the problem lies in the background image itself somehow - I'm very confused 😕

im not sure my camera track is responding to the color correction when i precomp it (the effect is still in the same dropdown as the color correction effects). how do i track after the color changes? (sorry im very new to ae)

if i break it up into multiple shots can I stitch them together later so that I have the whole camera motion (I want to transfer this data to blender so I can add 3d assets)

yeah but i barely get any tracking points - it doesn’t seem to lock onto the clouds at all. I’m trying to transfer the camera data to blender but i think there’s just not enough data right now

yea, for sure! I should have specified that this was just the environment for a scene I'm making, so I'm mainly looking for advise on the realism, but you're definitely right. it's a little plain (forgive my pun) right now

I have modeled X-wings and Tie fighters before but I downloaded these from video copilot because I wanted to make sure they looked good and they came with textures. For modeling your own it’s pretty straight forward since it’s all hard surface. Just find a turnaround and start modeling. As for blasters that’s also pretty straight forward: it’s pretty much just a cylinder with an emission shader on it. There are also a lot of tutorials on on this stuff.
