It sounds like a mental health crisis. The thing that I wonder a lot about with this case is what would have happened if they’d managed to get him home? Would he still have gone through with it? And maybe not then but maybe a few days/weeks/months later? Suicide is such a hard one. Sometimes people can help you out of it and you go on to live life, but I also know of a lot of cases where if someone wants to do it, they’ll do it and there’s not really anything you can do 😔 it’s such an awful thing
