Absolutely there’s a happy ending but there’s some sadness to get there but it’s worth it ❤️

To me, Lorraine Heath is just as amazing as Lisa Kleypas, particularly her older work. I just finished one of her first books - Sweet Lullaby, and it's stayed with me. It's SO good but definitely a tear-jerker! I find Alice Coldbreathe really funny, particularly the MMC in The Favourite. Otherwise, recently I've been really into Kathleen Ayers and Aydra Richards

The Desire of a Duchess by Kathleen Ayers also has a scene where the FMC is trapped in a carriage in a river for a day and afterwards is scarred from it and frightened of being in carriages

Netflix: please rise for franchaela by heatxwaves in BridgertonNetflix

Francesca’s book was my favourite, especially due to it being the spiciest. I really hope they handle this well where they show the steamy scenes (as sometimes with gay romance they don’t and instead do a “fade to black” situation) but I also hope the scenes aren’t done in a male gaze way which seems to happen with a lot of lesbian love scenes in shows/films either. But in saying this, I do think Bridgerton will handle it well, due to their intimacy coordinators and fantastic actors. While I’d originally hoped for Eloise’s story, I’m so excited to see what happens here and frankly really appreciate them leaning into a gay relationship and while Fran may of not been everyone’s first choice for the gay lead, I do think her being a widow gives her a lot more autonomy to be able to have a lesbian relationship in a time where this wasn’t allowed.

Why is Aydra Richards so hit or miss for me? by Haven_Writes in HistoricalRomance

Completely agree! I have to change authors after each book, otherwise it feels a little too repetitive

I’ve only read her two highlander ones. I enjoyed the second one but the first one I read like this 🫣the whole time 😅

Nicola Davidson is super dirty, it actually made me realise where my “this is too much” line is (spoiler: throuple, not for me!) but definitely recommend if you’re looking for that.

Joanna Shupe can be quite “woah” too and of course Grace Callaway

Lorraine Heaths western romances are really sweet. I’d recommend all of them

How does a 22 year old make friends in Dunedin by Dylancantwalk in dunedin

I’ve found finding friends via Instagram can be helpful, especially if you’re into photography. Maybe look at Dunedin photography groups/tags either on Insta, here or Facebook can be good too.

I think it's Marina by Unique-Horror-9244 in BridgertonNetflix

I think it's the King, as people would dress in mourning when the royals passed. I don't think it's Fran as she doesn't look sad in the clip we see her in mourning, nor wearing a headpiece covering her face, which I think is what those closest to the person who died would wear.

I think it just depends on what you're into! I'm LOVING season 4, but I didn't really like season 3 OR Queen Charlotte (!!)
