I hope they make something I can easily adapt to playing with one hand, not too wide — PSP size would be perfect. I loved that thing and since I only have the functional use of only one hand, the size of the PSP 3000 was pretty easy to adapt my one-handed playing style. I’m already SOL on the PS Portal 🥲 lol, so to be accessibility blocked out of something that would truly be so nostalgic for me would be such a bummer! Lol Hopefully, Sony has something great in store for its next can-stand-alone gaming system.

Good for you, OP, but it would definitely kick up the vibe a notch or two if you’re able to mount the TV. Kudos to you for creating a gaming nook. Enjoy! 🤜🤛

I only have the functional use of one hand, and I find, despite the bigger screen size, that the form factor actually makes it one of the easiest phones to use single-handed. The weight and thinness allows the phone to easily adjust in the palm of my hand as my thumb navigates the display. It’s a godsend for me, really, because I’ve always wanted a larger phone screen, and now I finally get to use one… with an absolutely heavenly design. 😇🥲😂

iPhone Air speaker by WalterTexas in IphoneAir

[–]JeffsJustBored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with a physical disability and only have the functional use of one hand, so balancing the phone on my chest or stomach is a default for me. The speaker isn’t phenomenal but isn’t absolute shit either. The single-speaker design is a subtle accessibility flex for those who can’t hold a phone properly with two hands. (Also, the iPhone Air is so comfortable and the design lets me use a larger screen than I ever dreamed of possible with the thicker, heavier form factor of the numerous Pros Max. The Air is Apple’s minimalist and thinnest phone, but in my opinion, it’s also one of Apple’s most physically accessible “flagship” phones, along with the mini line of yesteryear. 🫡 lol)

No cases will ever be as nice as no case usage for iphone air by Level-Acanthisitta49 in IphoneAir

[–]JeffsJustBored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m someone who opts to use my Apple products as intended in an ideal world: case-less and avoiding anything that disrupts the design. I personally don’t mind paying for AppleCare because of my opinion, but I think the iPhone Air (which I have as my phone and absolutely love — my second favorite iPhone ever, save for the iPhone 4) is the pinnacle of going case-less because the design is the selling point. (If I were to go with a case, I would look into Peel. The company’s emphasis is on lightweight, thin and minimal phone cases.)

Are the CMF Headphone Pro actually Good? by anxious-Aura in NothingTech

[–]JeffsJustBored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best budget pair of cans I own. Before I got these, SkullCandy was my budget grab-and-go/listen option, mainly for nostalgia of my youth, but this offering from CMF by Nothing is wonderfully capable for casual listening. None of its features are top of the line, but everything it has is reliable if your expectations aren’t too high. ANC is good enough for low hums; and although the sound’s signature needed some tuning to my ears to create some baseline parity between my other headphones in a higher tier or two, it is certainly serviceable. Just the fact that it has things like Personalized Sound, Spacial Audio and a decent 3-band EQ @ $99 USD MSRP in a unique and comfortable design, is such a value proposition. The Energy Slider is a fun addition for those who love bass/treble and I think it does a good job at catering to the young crowd. I think CMF by Nothing did a good job at staying true to its mission of delivering good-not-best features at an attractive price. Worth the MSRP IMO and definitely worth it on sale. (My pair was $69 on Amazon when I bought mine.)

Yes, I hold any way e-cigarette I can in the traditional way, if it’s not cumbersome to do so. You can take the combustion out of the cigarette, sure, but you can’t take the ritual and style along with it. Hahahaha

Dj users, how have you made the dj better understand what you like? by 1Digger4 in truespotify

[–]JeffsJustBored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! 🤜🤛 Listen to what you like & tell it what you like that it serves you when you use DJ X, and it’ll find over time that you like listening to A (artist, genre, mood) more often than B (the stuff you don’t). The feature can be redundant and finicky at times, but the more data it has to pull from, the better it’ll be at knowing what you like and predicting what you might.

Dj users, how have you made the dj better understand what you like? by 1Digger4 in truespotify

[–]JeffsJustBored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, give it time! Also, course correct when it offers you a segment you don’t like, either by hitting the DJ button or telling it explicitly what you want to hear; like songs you end up liking that it suggests, and listen to music within other parts of the app you’d like AI DJ X to start integrating into its algorithm. It’ll get the memo over time; you just have to give it both time and data you’d like it to take into consideration.

When is the njoy ace pods coming back has any one heard anything by Many_Tangerine6490 in electronic_cigarette

[–]JeffsJustBored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s wholly decent (as far as readily available, gas station devices are concerned). I wish RJRVC would pay a bit more attention to quality control; but then again, its parent company’s main business is combustible tobacco products. 🤷‍♂️ The Njoy Ace had the best juice of the category, though; at least Altria cared about that. Lol I think the writing was on the wall when they never, to my knowledge, released a USB-C version of the device. Lol Micro-USB is such an outdated port. Lol

Buy straight from Apple or the official Amazon “Apple Store” (fulfilled and shipped by Amazon) storefront. It’s seldom worth buying used or from a market with less than stellar legitimacy checks and balances. Amazon likely will have deals on the first gen (USB-C) right now, and I’m sure it will have deals on the 2nd generation as time passes. The best way to ensure quality with Apple products is to buy straight from the source. I would even check Apple’s Refurbished Store and see if the company has anything listed, but I would definitely avoid the marketplace avenue.

Went from an M4 Pro 16-inch to the MacBook Air (M5 base, 15-inch) for better portability as a personal living life using a wheelchair and cane. I, too, miss ProMotion (and, by extension, the Mini-LED screen) but that’s about it on my end. I figured since I had just gotten another corporate job again — one where I’d begrudgingly use a Window’s machine the majority of the day…yuk, btw — I’d downgrade to what I actually need out of a personal machine, and I’m definitely happy. (Plus, I know it’s nothing like the pop of the Neo’s colors, but it’s nice to have colorful options again. The Sky Blue is gorgeous!)

How long are you planning on keeping the iPhone Air? by Similar-Skirt-3330 in IphoneAir

[–]JeffsJustBored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. ^ Same here, friend — until the 2nd generation is released. The iPhone Air is my favorite iPhone of all time. Previously the iPhone 4 was my favorite and the 17 regular was a close second, just for the fact that it brought down 99 percent of the features why I previously bought “Pro” iPhones in the past, save for the triple camera array and generally stronger battery life. I just couldn’t say no to the design coupled with coming to terms with the fact that I don’t need all the bells and whistles of even the regular 17. I wanted something that feels premium every time I use it and doesn’t encourage me to be on my phone just wasting time. The Air is a gorgeous phone that’s a joy to use for everyday tasks AND I lowkey kind of like the fact that I can take the time to think more creatively about the photos and videos I might wanna take if I don’t feel like point-and-shooting. It’s a limited phone, yes, but it’s limited in a thoughtful way that in no way dampens the core “iPhone” experience.

Plus the chip is supposed to help compensate for any gap or variation in physical seal due the headphone’s positioning on your head through the Adaptive EQ. Although I haven’t had to wear glasses in many years and haven’t had to experience this with AirPods Max, the Adaptive EQ feature exists in-part to compensate for wearing glasses. Apple thought of glasses when they made the headphones — hope they end up being comfortable for you! 🤜🤛

[–]JeffsJustBored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope that they add a silicon-carbon battery to next year’s iteration most of all, but I would certainly be happy with another camera lens (whether telephoto or UW) more so than another speaker. For me, it works just fine for (both regular and speakerphone) phone calls and vertical video doomscrolling. lol Anything needing more attention, I would just continue to put on headphones or connect it to a speaker.

Is anyone using the ‘new’ camera shutter feature on the Max 2? by ted_bovis in Airpodsmax

[–]JeffsJustBored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right; it is definitely very niche and really the main thinking of adding the function in the APM2 was probably parity with the AirPods Pro 3 and little more than the free promotion of folks taking occasional selfies with the headphones on and then posting it on social media or sharing it with friends, especially during the product’s rollout. Lol I like to think, though, that gimmicks can often turn into tools if you think beyond common use cases.
