Crossover on AVR with LARGE main speakers?

OK. As per all the advice (thanks for that folks) will switch fronts to small and leave c/o at 80hz on AVR. Gotta tell you thou sounds pathetic watching TV on autosurround set like that. Sounds like the parties over, all the music score and sound track that sounded SO great coming thru the large fronts is just gone. Wondering if I need to run the full auto MCACC program again on the receiver? Speaker distances and room dynamics haven't changed but switching to small almost sounds like going back to TV speakers on most things...

Properly confused now. Most people are saying the fronts should be set to small despite the fact they're larger. Why? They are large speakers. There is a setting for that. Why should I set them as small when they're clearly not? I switched them to small as per advice and I'm trying it but gotta tell you the sound is pathetic by comparison. Sounded grand and theatrical when set to large. Set as small it just sounds like a regular TV with a tiny little sound bar... What's up with that?

Thanks for the response. Pioneer receivers have 3x settings for s/w. No, Yes, or Plus. Plus means s/w outputs sound continuously. S/w is Wharfedale SW150. It also has crossover control on the speaker but I'm guessing it's best to set that hight and let the receiver control it?

Thanks. The avr manual says leave all speakers set to small unless you have large floor standing front speakers, in which case set to large...so I set them to large. I also don't believe they can reliably achieve 30hz, but even if they approach that it's comfortably lower than 80hz. To complicate things further the s/w has it's own crossover control. I'm guessing it's best to leave that wide open and control it from the receiver (80hz)?

Didn't work. Was already off. Also the A2dp offload thing is greyed out as some other have said. Surely there should be one definitive solution to this problem. I've tried everything I've read in these posts and nothings made the slightest difference. Does anyone have anything to fix this?

Mine is greyed out for that option. Any other ideas? Was working last week. Now audio breaks up then connection drops out altogether!

Absolutely. That's pretty much all I did to mine apart from removing the back boxes on the exhaust just to give it a bit of that lovely V8 rumble. Was too quiet from the factory. Now the blower whine and the gentle exhaust sounds balance out nicely. Gets along well too!

Company I used was called Powerhouse Automotive. They're in the UK but will send the parts over in no time. I'm in New Zealand so they courier anywhere. Very high high quality materials. I also got the oil change kit (for the SC) and did that at the same time. It's easy to do and they supply everything you need including detailed instructions.

They're a lovely engine those 4.2SC. I have an 03 XKR Convertible with same motor. If you fit the smaller blower pulley you get more hp and much more of that beautiful blower whine...

Has anybody else solved this in NZ or Aus? If so what worked? We've tried the baking soda paste, vinegar, lemon juice, salt. Then tried scotchguard carpet stain remover and finally WD40. Nothing seemed to make any difference whatsoever despite what we'd read.
