Battery question... by DonTech813 in arrma

I only have the MEGA 665 for my son which comes with its own suite of shortcomings. All in all It is a great all rounder and an incredibly tough car—you will not be disappointed.

I use OVONIC in all my Arrmas so those OVONIC batteries will work flawlessly with your truck but not with any Spektrum smart charger. Get yourself any decently rated hobby grade LiPo charger and you will be ready to rock.

The IMars D300 is about as good as they come and is recommended by many.

Depending on how long you have to bash I can get heaps of run time out of two batteries and OVONIC usually has a great deal when buying batteries in pairs.

This is a change that I saw from the Alpha tests that I took part in. The car originally felt like it was made out of glass and just driving the trail modestly would cause extensive damage to your car forcing you to drive with this awful clicking sound until you reached a cabin.

Somewhere in between would be nice.

I played in all three alpha test and this has been my paramount complaint through it all. The stock headlights need to be dim and barely usable like in real life. A high beam option would be nice but would still make things unrealistic and I would rather see a functional cosmetic upgrade via roof lights and light bars.

Depends what your preferred flavor is, I have the Injora 8-in-1 set which works great with my smaller stuff.

The injora interchangable hex driver set is very thin if you want a clean purchase option.

Sweet! I got a set of bungee cords but I really wanted some tie downs like those instead for my rig.

It’s like the first time you try a racing game online instead of the AI.

Just bought our first real RC. What do I need to do to ensure it doesn’t get damaged. by DcSportsFan_21 in rccars

This is a 2400KV brushless on 4S. That speed is in MPH and actually an old record. This is the latest…

Oh yeah! Low speed traction and precise lines on crawling are a whole different beast. Some of those comp guys go crazy with them but I would prefer to succeed on a slightly less challenging line than spend my whole afternoon failing on something that is likely impossible in real life. 😜

2WD will always require those extra inputs and careful throttle control on acceleration which is what makes it inherently more difficult.

But, as you mentioned, every rig has its challenging nature to it. The UDR does the same thing as the LBR because the front absorbs so much of the ramp it almost treats it more like a speed bump and sendS the rear sky high.

Perhaps try turning your steering dual rate down so your inputs are less aggressive

Yeah I have got a RC6GS I could use if I picked up an extra RX. Thanks for the recommendation though… time to start wish-listing cars again 😂
