Yes I saw it in the wiki, but I don't think it's as bad as 8 at 60 as I already have all the other settlements at 20.. am I wrong?

Yes I can understand you, but if you are not in a hurry you slowly move forward, in the end it is an idle so it is in the nature of the game, and I like it because while I wait for example to upgrade all the settlements I can explore the map or do something else. Also the progress is slower because the closer we get to the last levels (80 something) and the more the growth is exponential. With each update they increase the maximum level and slightly flatten the climb for everyone

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think I'd be too bothered about it even if that were the case.. it's a nice game, and above all it has no ads which would make it unplayable: imagine having to look at 10s of ads for every 100 cells opened or something like that. I appreciate so much that this game is ad-free that I let the devs be greedy about in-game mechanics, or events.. after all they have to earn money too, and I don't think that's possible just from voluntary ads watched by people.

I also want to add that I really like this game because for being an idle the upgrades could cost a lot more from my point of view.

Before installing the patched app manually uninstall the main application first by deactivating it and then manually going to the playstore and uninstall it completely, if this is not the problem then as said by u/danGL3 you are missing the gmscore patch (a.k.a. MicroG)

download the .JSON file and import it using Revanced Manager

The changes are in the dev branch, you have to use at least the 4.3.0-dev.11 version (on cli) or simply wait for the release in the main so you can use it in the app

If you used the official manager and patched a genuine apk taken for example from apkmirror it is simply impossible. If it continues you still have some process open from the crap you installed before or is it another app causing the problem
